"Sofia Rose Molina, don't you dare close that door!" Papa yelled as I stormed out of the house, pulling my suitcase behind me, duffel bag slung over my shoulder. Turning, I gave him one last angry glare before slamming the front door behind me with a loud bang. I marched down the path through the front garden until I stood outside the only home I had ever known. Everything was here, my memories, my family, my life. But I couldn't stay. It all just reminded me too much of her. I wiped a single tear that had slipped down my brown skin as I silently said goodbye. I finally let go of the girl I had been before... before it happened. Nothing will ever be the same.
I turned on my heel and briskly began walking down the street. Pulling my phone from my pocket, I called Jayden.
"Hey babe," he answered.
"Hey," I paused and took a shaky breath. "Can you come pick me up?"
"Where are you?" His voice was determined. That was one of the things I loves about Jayden, he didn't ask why or what happened, he just got straight to helping me. I knew the questions would come after but I would take this small break while I could.
"Corner of Lukia Street and Rulie Avenue," I told him, voice trembling. The wind howled, my whole body shaking like a leaf as it cut through my leather jacket, goosebumps rising on my arms.
"Give me two minutes," he said before hanging up the call. I sighed a breath of relief. He was coming to get me. Everything would be fine. Right?
Of course, you never really do know how wrong you are until it's far too late. That was six months ago. A lot changed in those six months. And a lot of change was yet to come...
