"Lukas Whatever-your-middle-name-is-if-you-have-one Patterson!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I jumped from the bed, shaking the glitter he had poured on me off my body. "I am going to fricking murder you!" He laughed loudly as he ran out of the studio and poofed away, leaving me with a laughing Alex and Reggie. "Yeah, that's right, you better run!" I shouted at the space he had been.

"It's Mitchell, by the way," Alex told me in between laughter. At my questioning look he continued, "his middle name is Mitchell. Luke Mitchell Patterson. 'Cause his Dad's name is Mitch but his parents didn't want him to have his Dad's name, just something similar to it."

"That makes sense," I responded, unsure of what exactly to say.

"Yeah but I wouldn't bring up his parents around him," Alex warned. "Don't ask me about it either, it's not my story to tell."

"There was some major drama," Reggie added dramatically.

"Spill the tea, sis," I said, sitting next to Reggie on the couch and poking him with a smirk.

"I don't have any tea," he replied, confused.

"It basically means tell me what happened in this context," I explained.

"Ah, okay. So pretty much-"

"We can't tell you!" Alex interrupted. "Why don't we just pretend this was all a bad dream and I never said anything?"

"'Cause that's stupid, Alex," I answered with a smirk.

"That was rhetorical," he deadpanned.

"I know."

"Alex..." I dragged out his name, the glitter giving me the urge to scratch my skin.

"No," he said.

"Come on, I didn't even ask anything!"

"It'll be a no," he responded surely.

"Well, I was gonna ask if you wanted your makeup done, but since the answer's no..." I trailed off teasingly. Even though it definitely wasn't what I was going to ask. He didn't need to know that.

"I meant yes!" he screeched, sitting bolt upright and falling off the chair he was lounging in. Reggie and I threw our heads back in laughter as his cheeks turned pink.

"Come on," Reggie said, "let's go get Luke."

"So we can stab him?" I ask eagerly.

"I was gonna say so we can bring him back to jam but sure we can stab him," Reggie agrees easily. I smile at the boy. He really was a golden retriever in human form.

"No, no stabbing!" Alex scolded. And then we have the Responsible Mum Alex.

"You're no fun, Alex," I whined.

"You've only known him for a day, try living with him for 35 years," Reggie remarked.

"How did you survive?" I asked.

"I didn't." We burst into laughter at his remark as Alex watched us with raised eyebrows, an unimpressed expression painted across his features.

"Are we going?"

"Sir, yessir!" I mockingly saluted him before poofing out to the Orpheum. Luke was sitting with his back facing me and I quickly snuck up behind him. "Hello," I whispered in his ear, causing him to jump three feet in the air and lose balance, plummeting to the ground below and landing with a groan.

"Did you have to?" he grumbled.

"Yes, yes I did," I answered.
