KAI's POV

 

As I ignored them and continued to stare at the super-interesting glass wall, I heard MaeRi talking "Have you ever been in love, JongIn-ssi?" I shifted my gaze towards her as I heard my name coming out of her lips. I was surprised by her question. "Love?"  I thought.. "What is she up to, exactly?"

 

 I finally answered after a moment of silent-staring at her face "Love?"  "I don't know what that is." I shrugged, keeping my cool.

"Of course, how would someone like you know about love?" I saw she was mumbling to herself but in some-way, I was able to hear every word she said. I acknowledged she was playing around with me so I decided to show her whom she's messing around with.

   "Oh, so you're an expert in love or something, MaeRi-ssi?" I smirked.

Before she could answer, the waitress came with the orders I made. She put the drinks on the table "Enjoy your drinks" She sent an obvious wink towards me. I poker-faced her showing her I'm not interested.. I could hear MaeRi scoffing at what just happened. The waitress, humiliated, bowed and took her leave. MaeRi grabbed Her bubble tea and started to drink it.

"Well, I definetly know more than you do!" She said getting back to what we were saying.

I grabbed my black coffee "You don't seem like an expert to me."

"What do you mean?" She didn't seem pleased by my words, but I couldn't care less.

"You don't seem like a person to have ever been in a relationship. What man would be with you?" I took a sip from my hot coffee. "You're rude and You don't even look like a girl." I coldly added "If it wasn't for the skirt you were wearing the first time I saw you, I would have thought you're a dude." She was glaring at me as I finished.

"JongIn-Ah!!" I heard hyung shout at me, not averting my gaze away from MaeRi's, I smirked then blinked and looked away.

HeeJin: "Wait, you guys know each other?" She looked at MaeRi then back at me, she looked frustrated by our words.

"I am not rude!" MaeRi finally replied after glaring at me for so long.

"Is that all you could hear?" I looked down at my drink, not meeting her eyes.

I could sense her boiling up, and it sent joy down my spines.

KyungSoo: "Apologize now!" Hyung yelled once again at me. 

I was about to raise my head to meet her eyes and apologize but then she spoke.

 "There's no need for that, KyungSoo-ssi. It's alright." I then looked up at her, and I could see that she was hurt by my harsh words, she smiled but it was weak and not genuine. I suddenly felt a great sense of guilt wrap me up, I don't know why I said such words to her, she seems too sensitive and I was just being a jerk to her.
