Chapter 7

MaeRi's POV

I gasped as the memories of last night came rushing to my brain..

Apparently, it was loud, as I found everyone in the room giving me questioning looks.. including JongIn.. I looked at him, shocked.. His eyes widened as he realized whom I was..

I sat up suddenly from my chair, bowed and excused myself.. I rushed out of the room.

I ran to the restroom.. I looked at myself in the mirror.. "What have I done to myself?"

As I walked to my desk, I saw HeeJin from afar speaking with Kyungsoo.. I ignored it and went straight to my desk. I rested my head over it. My head was so occupied with thoughts.. Of that JongIn… If my mind wasn't playing tricks on me, I believe he kissed me last night.. I must have been so drunk to forget such a thing as a KISS!

After what seemed like a century, I got up from my desk and went to go get something to drink, since my head was killing me, I needed coffee. Facing the floor and not looking infront of me, I bumped into someone, Papers fell on the floor.. The person infront of me didn't move.. Just great. I went down on my knees to pick-up the papers on the floor, still not looking up, I collected the papers one by one and arranged them in a neat way. I held them in my hands ready to give them to the person infront of me, offering a weak smile, I lifted my head up slowly.. "I'm sor--*GASP*"

My eyes widened in shock.. I didn't know what  to do.. "You..Yo-" before I could even finish my sentence, He grabbed the papers from my hands and walked away without saying a word.. I stood still in my place.. Not able to move an inch of my body.. My hands were still in the position of holding the papers, except, they were now holding the vacant air..  I blinked for the four hundred-thirty two times now trying to gasp the situation.. I shook my head and shrugged it off, coffee is more important now..

As I was making my way out of the office, Kyungsoo appeared in front of my eyes.

"MaeRi-ah.. about yesterday.." He started "I'm really sorry!! I got a phonecall from my father informing me that I had to be at the main office as fast as possible.. I know it was really improper of me to leave you like this and I-"

"Its okay, KyungSoo-ssi. I understand" I cut him off with a warming smile.

"Oh that’s such a relief! I was so scared you won't forgive me and I woul-"

"No, it's really okay" I flashed a sincere smile "How about you make it up to me with a hot cup of coffee?"

"I would love to"

 He smiled genuinely at me "Then, Shall we go?" he motioned for me to walk before him. I smiled at his sweet gesture and walked out of the office with him not far behind me.

We went to a coffee shop near the company. We sat down at a small table. He ordered Mango bubble tea. I went with a cappuccino, since I needed some real caffeine. The weather was nice and the warm sun shining down on my face put me at ease from all the stress I've been feeling lately.

We chatted about anything and everything, told random stories and laughed at silly jokes. It felt good to spend some time with a friend like that, just forget about everything and have fun. "You really are a great friend, Kyungsoo"
