Chapter 5
KAI's POV
I entered the restaurant and asked for Hyung's table, after he called me saying I should pick up some chick he's dating.. Well that's not exactly what he said but that's what I understood anyway.
I saw her sitting on the table. She had her arms folded on the table and her head in between them. "Is she sleeping? Will I have to carry her home or something? She might be drunk! Shoot! What am I even doing here!" I thought to myself
"Ehm" I cleared my throat to start speaking
She looked up at me. Her hair was a mess.. "She didn't look Korean, she was a foreigner I suppose.. What was hyung even doing with her? Does she know Korean? Should I speak in English? Uhh this is so frustrating! Why isn't she saying anything?" those were the thoughts inside my head, I decided to speak off in English first
"I'm JongIn" I said plainly
She looked at me in awe. I was confused...
"Are you MaeRi?" I asked.. I guess she's Korean from the name.. Why didn't I think about that beforehand? Ugh so dumb, JongIn.
"Ne" She replied-(Which is Yes in Korean)-
"Okay then let's go." I said coldly as I went going.
She silently followed behind me, as we walk to my car. She looked too tired to speak, so I took that in and I kept my quiet.
I drove silently. Hyung had already given me her address so I knew where I was going. Wonder why he has her address though..
"So, you're kyungsoo's little brother, huh?" she looked at me with a soft chuckle.
"Uh, yeah, I am." I said not taking my eyes off of the road
"Hahaha I didn't know he can have a brother with such dark skin.. I mean he's so white" she said as she continued laughing. I could tell she was drunk by the way she speaks
I hit the car breaks. What did she just call me? "I'm sorry what? I am NOT dark skinned. This is bronze skin have you gone blind?!" I didn't notice how loyd my voice has gone. I was sensitive when it came to that. Blood was already boiling to my head.
She was taken aback when the car stopped so suddenly.
She gave me a look and raised an eyebrow as she smirked "Pffft whatever you say mister" she replied closing her eyes.
"How is hyung even dating you?!"
"Ugh what do you mean, I'm not dating Kyungsoo. We're just friends" she replied not even caring to open up her eyes.
"Friends?"
"Yes, friends. Where did you even get such a conclusion? You're so shallow" she opened her eyes and looked at me "Are you like, jealous of your hyung?"
"What? Why would I be jealous? I actually think I pity him after seeing what kind of friends he has." I replied with a disgusted face.. Exactly whom did she think she was? She doesn't even know me.
"Well, he definitely is a nicer person than you are."
"What do you even know about me?"
"Well, you, I don't know.. You seem like a conceited brat"
"That B***h!" I thought.. I looked up and took a deep breath to calm me down.. I took one look at her before I could shower her with ugly words.
She looked too flushed. Her body wasn't properly seated in the car. Her head moved to the side and she was about to hit the window, I quickly put my hand under her head catching her, causing our faces to be really close.. I looked into her eyes.. I didn't know they were so wide
"You okay?" I managed to say.
There was a moment of silence.. I was about to move back when she spoke "I didn't even get to finish my very first date" she said with sadness in her eyes, still not looking away from mine..
I don't know what got into me.. But I wasn't in my right mind.. Her eyes were light brown.. They felt so good to look into.. Her skin was so white and pure.. I had the urge to touch it
I slowly put my free hand up to her cheek.. And just as I had imagined.. Her skin was so moist and warm..
"What about a date's first kiss?" I titled my head with a smirk on my lips.
"Huh?" she asked confused by my question
I leaned closer to her face leaving only inches apart between our lips.. I slowly put my lips over hers, and kissed her softly, her lips were perfect and mois- Wait.. What's gotten into me? Why am I being like this? I quickly pulled away and positioned myself back in my seat.
Did I just kiss the girl who insulted me?
Without a single word and without even glancing back at her, I started the engine and drove the car.
