Chapter 13

MaeRi's POV

I hardly agreed on the double date idea for the one reason which is that HeeJin needs me with her -I don't know why though-

"But HeeJin-ah, don't you think I'm badly dressed for this? I mean.. It's a date after all.. and..-" I said as she was looking down under her bed for something she called a surprise.. "HeeJin, are you even listening to me? Ughh!" I groaned at her carelessness.

I mean, it means nothing to me if I don't look good.. but still.. I was wearing short-jeans and a plain black tshirt.. this wasn't a good image for your first date..

She got up with a large box in her hands "Here it is!" She said as she placed it on the bed and sat next to it. She opened the box to reveal a creamy coloured beautiful dress.. she held it in her hands and stood up. "Woah! HeeJin-ah!! This is perfect! Why are you only getting this out now?! You have to wear this! C'mon!!" I exclaimed pushing her towards the closet when she stopped me by holding my shoulders and laughing.

"MaeRi-ah, I can't wear this, it doesn't fit me anymore, I got it as a present on my 18th birthday, and I wanted to wear it on my first date.. And I did.. But It was the first and last time I ever wore that dress.. Since I grew taller, it's now short and doesn't work for me.." She said looking at the dress and back at me.. "But since you're already short, it will fit you perfectly, it really feels good to be able to put this dress out again.." She smiled at me

"Now, why don't you try putting this on?" She said handing me the dress.

I took it hesitantly.. "I don't know if I shoul-"

"Oh, don't be silly! Come on!" She pushed me towards the closet.

I went into the closet and changed into the dress.. I got out after I took some heavy breaths, due to nervousness.

"It looks beautiful on you, just as I had imagined" She smiled warmly.

I smiled at her sweetness. "Ohh, unni, we still need shoes!!" I said realizing the fact that I was in slippers, and so was she.

"Don't worry, I have that covered" She said as she went running out of the room...

She then came back with two pairs of high heels. One was Reddish Purple and the other was Dark Beige. (See media)

"Woah, they're beautiful!!" I exclaimed as I ran to her, "These suit your dress better" She said giving me the beige ones with a sweet smile.

"Thank you! It's so pretty!" I said as I immediately put the heels on and looked in the mirror..

"Pretty.." I whispered to myself.. I really never knew I could ever look pretty..

HeeJin put her own pair of heels and stood next to me, both of us looking at our reflection..

"Just one last touch.." She said as she untied my hair and it let the fizzy curls fall over my shoulders.. She then untied hers too.. She had really long straight brown hair, so much longer than mine, that when she untied it, it almost reached her waist.

"MAKEUP! WE NEED MAKEUP!" She exclaimed as she went running towards her dressing table, and got her makeup bag.

We applied makeup.. Well.. She applied for both of us, since I don't really know how to apply makeup..

Just as we were done, HeeJin's phone rang.. And I automaticly knew who was the caller.. HeeJin picked up..

"Yeoboseyo"

"Five minutes?"

"Okay"

She said over the phone and hung up... "KyungSoo will send over a car to pick us up in 5 minutes, We'll meet them at a coffee shop"

"I really hope my date would be nice.." I thought.

We took a look at our reflection in the mirror. We Glanced a final look at each other and we knew we were ready to go..
