Chapter 11: Befriending Monoma

Once the kitchen had been cleaned up, everyone went to do their own thing. The adults talked while the boys watched a movie. After about 2 hours, they were told to go to bed since there was school for Izuku and Shinso. Inko had yet to come home and Aizawa went out to begin his night patrol. Izuku waited for Inko to come home but had gone up to wait in his room. When he heard the door open downstairs, he raced down the steps and gave Inko a hug who laughed.

"Hey honey."

"Hi! I made dinner so go change and I'll heat up dinner for you."

"Alright." Inko went to change and greeted Hizashi on her way to her room. Hisashi was in the room so she greeted him once she walked in. Izuku walked to the kitchen and pulled out Inko's serving of dinner before heating it up. Once Inko changed, she walked out and to the kitchen where she found Izuku sitting down at the table. The food had already been heated up and Izuku set out utensils for her. Inko smiled and thanked him before sitting down and beginning to eat.

"Wow, this is really good Izuku." Inko told him.

"Thanks mom. I used what you taught me."

Inko smiled and asked how his day was. Izuku told her everything, making sure she wasn't suspicious about Bakugou's actions and ending with how Shinso fooled All Might. Inko chuckled lightly. "That's good. I'm proud of you for standing up for your friends. So who is this new friend you made?"

"Todoroki Shoto. He is Endeavor's son but I could care less. All I care about is that he and Shinso got along well and I now have a new friend." Izuku told her.

Inko nodded. "Agreed. And I'll have to thank Shinso for helping you out with All Might. Though I am curious about why he did if he doesn't know the issue...unless you told him."

Izuku glanced down but before he could say anything, Dabi walked into the kitchen and faced Inko.

"I'm sorry Inko, I was the one who told Shinso about the issues. I thought that since we were staying here, he had a right to know." Dabi lied and seemed like he was trying to take the blame off of Izuku and onto himself.

Inko shook her head. She stood up and hugged Dabi. "I know Izuku told Shinso. And you have nothing to worry about, I'm not mad at him." Then she pulled away and put her hands on his cheeks. "Dabi, I'm really concerned. You keep showing signs of abuse and before you shake your head to lie to me, I know what to look for. I'm a nurse and I deal with these types of things. I hope I'm wrong but the way you act when you think someone is mad is pointing to you having been abused in the past. And I know you may not want to tell me but please know that I am here to help and I believe everyone would be willing to help."

Izuku listened and stiffened, staring at Dabi. Dabi had frozen but slowly nodded at Inko. "I don't really want to talk about it right now, but I promise that I will once I gain the courage. Is that alright?"

Inko smiled and nodded. "That's fine. Just remember that if you need any help, we will help you. And please do remember that no matter how mad we are, we will never ever hit our children. Each one of you kids are important and matter. No matter what anyone has told you before, listen to me now and believe me."

Dabi smiled at her and nodded again. "I understand. Thank you Inko for giving me time."

Inko shook her head fondly before hugging Dabi again. As Dabi hugged back, he noticed Izuku watching with tears in his eyes so Dabi motioned for him to come over. Before Inko let him go, she pressed a kiss to his head. Dabi turned to Izuku and opened his arms up to Izuku who ran into them, quietly crying.

"I-I'm so sorry you had to d-deal with all, all that pain!" Izuku sobbed quietly against Dabi's chest.

Dabi chuckled sadly. "There's nothing you could have done Izu. Besides, being with you all has made me so happy that I can't thank you enough. So don't cry for me Izu."
