Chapter 19: Shopping

"Hey! I didn't think you'd be here!" Hawks chirped, his eyes closed as he smiled at Dabi.

"Uh yeah...was there anything you wanted?" Dabi asked, drawing the others' attention.

Monoma quickly looked around to see if Endeavor was anywhere nearby since Hawks was often seen by his side. When he saw no sign of flaming garbage, he turned to watch Hawks and Dabi. Izuku had fallen asleep against Dabi's shoulder so he was none the wiser.

"Well I saw you here so I figured that I would come over and say hi! So what are you doing here?" Hawks asked, pulling a chair over.

Tokoyami was forced to move his chair to make room for Hawks. Dabi sighed. "I came to buy some things."

"Oh? Like what? Do you need any help? If you want, I can pay for your things, think of them as gifts."

Dabi shook his head. "I'm fine."

"Come on Touya, let me help. I'm sure it's hard on your wallet, especially with all these kids." Hawks insisted.

"Don't call me that." Dabi hissed.

Hawks paled and raised his hands in surrender. "Damn, okay. So what do you want me to call you?"

"Look, I don't need your help. So could you please leave?" Dabi sighed.

"Come on. I just want to help. Besides, I'm a pro hero so I've got money if that's what you're worried about."

"Can you please leave? Dabi already asked nicely and now you're just bothering him."

Dabi glanced down and smiled at Izuku who smiled back before turning to glare at Hawks who was glaring right back.

"I'm his friend and I'm trying to be nice. I mean, are you really trying to force him to pay for your stuff? Like look at all those bags you have." Hawks snapped at Izuku.

Izuku scoffed. "Actually, my dad paid for these. So how about you shut your mouth about things you don't know anything about."

"Hah, last I checked, your dad left your family. So unless you're talking about a sugar daddy, you're lying." Hawks replied.

Dabi then slapped Hawks and snarled. "Do not speak to Izu like that."

Hawks gingerly touched his cheek in shock. "Wha-"

"What's going on here?" Inko asked, coming up from behind them.

"Oh hey Inko!" Dabi said.

"Hello Dabi. Would you like to tell me why you slapped Hawks?" Inko questioned.

"Don't worry Inko, he had a reason to slap him." Hisashi told her, coming up from behind her.

Hawks had turned around to look at them by now. "Who are you two?"

"I'm Izuku's mother." Inko told him. "And this is Izuku's father."

"I would say nice to meet you except it isn't. Especially after you said that Izuku was lying about me and insinuated that you investigated my family." Hisashi told Hawks who paled in response.

Inko stilled and glanced at Izuku. "What did he say?"

"Basically, he came over and kept bothering Dabi until Izuku woke up and told him to stop. Then he asked if Izuku was trying to force Dabi to pay for his stuff. Izuku replied and told him that Hisashi was actually the one paying for everything. To which he told Izuku that he knows Izuku's father left early on so unless he was talking about a sugar daddy, Izuku was lying." Monoma told Inko.

She lifted an eyebrow. "Oh is that so?" Then she turned to look down at Hawks. "So you not only investigated my family, but also called my son a liar and then even dared nose your way into his business, claiming that he had a sugar daddy, which wouldn't even be any of your business."
