[Hiatus] Forsaken Angels

Chapter 28: New Quirks copied

The ones that stayed behind in the house, helped make food and just take care of everyone. The press had been playing this live so everyone in the house was watching and heard about what had happened if they weren't already aware of it. Fuyumi, Natsuo and Toga were able to function better so they were the ones taking care of the others.

The news quickly went viral and people were going crazy over it. All Might fans were causing problems that resulted in the police being called to calm them down. Some were getting rid of their All Might merch while others were claiming that it was fake. Luckily, Izuku had already sold all of his All Might merch so he gained some money before the entire thing blew up. U.A. made sure to tighten up security due to riots and people asking about Izuku. People kept wanting to speak to Izuku and ask about All Might, about his relation with All Might. Dabi went to school with Izuku and would help protect him from the public. The Midoriya family rarely went out in public due to the problems. Toga also went to school and made friends quickly but made sure no one bothered Izuku with questions about All Might.

With the Midoriya family

Izuku jumped onto Dabi's back and laughed as Dabi raced around with him on his back. Denki was playing games with Shinso against Iida and Shoto. Aoyama and Monoma were discussing their hero outfits with Aizawa and Hizashi. Tomura, Tokoyami, Shoji, Toga, Katsuki, Kirishima, and Natsuo were playing freeze dance while Fuyumi controlled the music. Inko and Hisashi were gardening since Inko found it relaxing. She had taken off of work since people would recognize her and she also hadn't taken off much for a few years.

Dabi collapsed onto Izuku who he had dropped onto the couch. "I'm bored."

Izuku huffed but then nodded. "Same. We've been stuck in the house for so long. I want to go out and have some fun."

They quieted and tried to think of things that may be fun to do. Then Dabi had an idea.

"Hey Izu."

"Yeah?"

"Have you tried to copy any more quirks yet?" Dabi asked, lifting his head.

Izuku thought about it and shook his head, suddenly grinning. "No. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Dabi grinned. "I think so." He then got off of Izuku and stood up, helping Izuku off the couch as well. "Let's go ask."

They exited the house and headed to the garden where Inko was giggling as Hisashi sprayed her with a bit of water from the hose. Dabi and Izuku smiled, happy to see the two having fun and not worrying about anything. They walked closer, catching Inko's attention who smiled and stood up.

"Hey boys! What's up?" she asked.

"We were wondering if we could go out and see if I can copy some more quirks." Izuku told her.

Hisashi stood up as well and walked over. "What's going on?"

"We want to go out and try to copy more quirks for me." Izuku explained.

Hisashi thought about it and turned to Inko. "I think I'd be fine with it. Inko? What do you think?"

She nodded. "I agree, I'm fine with it. Plus it would be good for them to get out and also for Izuku to learn more on how to copy quirks."

They then turned to the boys and allowed them to leave. Izuku and Dabi high fived before thanking Inko and Hisashi. Dabi and Izuku quickly ran to put on their shoes and grab anything they needed before Izuku opened a gate to a secluded location. Once they were out, Izuku and Dabi pulled on their disguises which was Aizawa's suggestion in order to not get recognized.

Dabi wore a mask and had a wig that was blue hair while Izuku put on sunglasses and put on a wig that was red hair. Izuku's wig was then put into a ponytail and Dabi's wig was braided. Both wigs had long hair. Dabi also wore sunglasses to cover the burned patches of skin under his eyes.

Once they were completely disguised, they went out to get a few groceries and pick up a few quirks for Izuku as well. While they had been staying at home, Izuku had looked through the manual in his mind and found that his quirk actually worked a bit differently than Hisashi's quirk did when taking/copying other quirks. Izuku only had to touch someone to be able to copy their quirk. As always there would be a screen that would pop up asking if he wanted to take or copy the quirk but it only took one touch for the screen to pop up. Hisashi had to actively think about taking it and it took a bit longer while it was almost instantaneous for Izuku. No one had heard of ever having a manual about a quirk that was actually provided by the quirk so it was very surprising but quite helpful.

But so Izuku and Dabi went shopping together and Izuku would sneakily touch everyone he could or would bump into them accidentally. He had practiced how to sneak around and was using that to his advantage when touching people. Very few noticed since his touch was feather light and they just thought it might have been a bug or a corner of clothing brushing their hands. Izuku was able to copy multiple quirks at once and soon they finished grabbing all the groceries they needed. They paid and left the store, Izuku keeping his hand out so that he could accidentally brush them with his hand to gain their quirks. He and Dabi walked for a while before Izuku opened up a gate. Stepping through, they were greeted by Shinso pinning Denki against the wall. Both quieted and watched as Denki flushed red from Shinso's words, he was whispering. Then Denki squeezed his eyes closed and wrapped his arms around Shinso's neck, pulling him in for a kiss. Shinso's eyes widened before he kissed back passionately.

Izuku and Dabi looked at each other and walked back through the first gate, back into the woods they had opened the gate at. Both quickly flushed and Izuku set the groceries down to cover his face. 

"I can't believe we just walked in on them making out." Dabi groaned, having set down the groceries and squatting with his face in his hands.

"I know. Like I'm so happy they finally got together and everything but I do not need to be watching them make out. Also, I think it's a little more intimate than what we've seen between Shoto and his boys."

Dabi nodded. "Agreed. Shoto is innocent."

Izuku had already uncovered his face by now so he glanced at Dabi and smiled. "We should probably go back and check out all the quirks I've gotten this time."

Dabi stood up and picked up the groceries. "Right. Let's go and this time go into the kitchen or something. Hopefully there isn't anyone making out there."

Izuku nodded and picked up the groceries he had been holding before opening up another gate, this time to the kitchen which they walked through. The kitchen was empty so they set down the bags and unloaded all the groceries, putting things away. They did so in silence until they finished. Just as they were finishing up, Iida walked in.

"Oh hey Iida!"

"Hey Izuku! I see you two went out for food and such?"

Izuku nodded. "Yup. How did the games go?"

Iida smiled. "They were good. I had to teach Sho how to play them but he learned quickly."

"Yeah, Shoto never really got time to play games when he was a child, so I'm happy you're teaching him and he's having fun." Dabi explained to Iida who nodded and smiled.

"Yeah. By the way, have either of you seen Shinso or Denki? They left to go get a drink or something but never came back."

Izuku grinned. "Oh that's because they started making out."

Iida raised his eyebrows. "Finally. I thought it was going to take another month or so before they got the courage to tell each other."

Dabi grinned. "Oh yeah. We don't have to worry anymore. Though actually we might have to worry in a different way now." Dabi paused and thought about it. Izuku threw a bag at him. "Oh, be quiet."

"Hey!"

Iida laughed and left as Izuku and Dabi started play fighting.
