Izuku was walking home one day from school when he walked past an alleyway and heard a scuffle. Curiosity getting the better of him, Izuku went to take a look. Before he could see anything, something slammed into him and knocked him onto his back. Izuku groaned, opening his eyes when he saw the most beautiful pair of fire blue eyes staring at him. Izuku's mind went blank, staring in wonder at those eyes. But he was pulled back to reality when those eyes disappeared and someone pulled him onto his feet, pushing him away. A man with black hair and a raggedy outfit was standing in front of him, facing off with 4 other men. Izuku stood there in shock when one of the men attacked the black haired guy.

The black haired man glanced back at Izuku and yelled, "Get behind me, NOW!"

Izuku shook his head and ran to get behind the man. As soon as he did, the black haired man let out a torrent of blue fire. Izuku watched as the 4 men all burned, screaming and leaving nothing behind. The fight was over before Izuku could fully comprehend what had happened. The black haired man turned and because Izuku was so close, accidentally knocked into Izuku but before Izuku could fall or anything, the man caught him. Izuku stared into the same fire blue eyes as before and only after the man helped him stand on his own, did he register anything.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and I didn't mean to barge in, I just heard something and decided to check it out but it turned out to be a fight and..." Izuku rambled on before the black haired man chuckled.

"Ok, ok. Calm down kid. You don't have to be so nervous, you did nothing wrong."

Izuku stared, caught off guard by how deep the man's voice was. The man ran a hand through his hair and sighed.

"Great, another stranger scared because of my scars..."

Izuku snapped out of it and shook his head. "N-no, that's not the issue. I-I was just caught off guard by your d-deep voice..."

The man's eyes widened before he chuckled again. "Well that's a first. So whatcha doin' out here kid?"

"I was a-actually on my way home wh-when I heard a noise over here so, so I came to check it out." Izuku told him.

"I see. So what's your name?"

"Izuku. Izuku Midoriya. What about you? What's your name?"

"Dabi. So if I remember correctly, I kinda fell onto you when I got pushed. You alright?"

Izuku nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. Wh-what about you? Are you hurt anywhere?"

Dabi shook his head. "Nah, I'm fine Izuku."

Izuku's eyes widened and he smiled. "It's nice hearing someone else say my name." he mumbled.

Dabi raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Oh! It's nothing. It's nothing..." Izuku's face fell.

Dabi could tell that it wasn't alright but he wasn't going to push. Especially when they had just met. "Hey Izuku."

"Yeah?" He looked up.

Dabi rubbed the back of his head, turning away but then glanced at him. "Do you want me to walk you home?"

Izuku stared but then broke out into a smile. "Sure. I would appreciate it."

Dabi smirked and had Izuku lead the way. As they walked home, Dabi and Izuku talked some more. Soon they arrived at his place.

"Thank you for walking me home Dabi. It was fun talking with you."

Dabi nodded. "Same here. Would you perhaps be interested in meeting up some other time? I would love to talk with you more."
