The days go by on repeat, to school, house, and training. A constant repeat that didn't stop even after I started going to U.A. and it was just tiring. School was boring and there was never anything that made my day better. But then something happened. Midoriya started to act strangely, as did All Might. I wonder why? Then today, Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic both seemed to be interfering with All Might's matters. It was weird but I decided not to pay any attention to it since it wouldn't benefit me in any way. So I went to lunch after the bell rang. I was always distant with classmates so like any other day, I was sitting alone when Midoriya walked over and sat down at my table.
"Hey! I saw that you were sitting alone and figured why not sit with you." Midoriya explained.
I was surprised. "Don't you have other friends that you would rather sit with?"
He shook his head. "No, while I do have a friend here, I don't see him right now. And besides, aren't you lonely? You always sit alone."
My eyes widened when he asked that. It was the very first time that someone took notice of the fact that I was lonely and actually cared. Then I noticed someone come up behind Midoriya and tap him on the shoulder. There was a purple haired boy standing there who then asked if he could sit with us.
I shook my head and told him that he could sit. Midoriya smiled and told him to sit down. Once the purple haired boy was seated, Midoriya introduced us to each other. After greeting each other, we began to eat. While we ate, Shinso asked about Midoriya's classes and I was prepared to be ignored when he asked how my classes were as well. I replied that they were fine, expecting that to be it when he asked me a question again.
"So which class are you in?" Shinso asked.
"I'm in 1-A. What class are you in?" I replied before asking.
"I'm in 1-C. I wanted to be in class 1-A but my quirk wasn't suited for the test." He told me.
Well that's a little awkward. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I uh, got in through recommendations. So I wouldn't really know anything about the entrance exam."
I was expecting to see some disdain and frustration when Shinso just tells me not to worry about it. Usually people were annoyed and frustrated since they thought I didn't need to do anything to get in by recommendations and yet then Midoriya said something even more surprising.
"So, Todoroki, want to be friends?"
I stared at him in shock before slowly nodding. "Sure...I would like that."
"Cool!"
"Does that make us friends as well?" Shinso asked.
I nodded. "If you want to be then yes."
Shinso smiled and said, "Yeah, that'd be nice."
We then continued to eat and talk until the bell rang, where we then split up to go to class. Shinso waved goodbye as he left, leaving Midoriya and I to walk back to class together. I found it strange how easy it was to talk with Midoriya even though I've never really talked to anyone other than family. I didn't even realize we had gotten back to the classroom until I heard all the noise from our classmates. We quickly took our seats and class continued, nothing special happening. After school ended, I was packing up my stuff when I heard Bakugou go off on someone. Looking up, I realized it was Shinso.
"What's an extra like you doing here? Huh?! This isn't just anywhere, this is Class 1-A!" Bakugou screamed.
Shinso looked bored and replied, "I'm literally just trying to go talk to my friends. So could you move out of my way?"
