"So, what brought you two here?" Hisashi asked.

"Apparently Bakugou wanted to talk to me." Izuku explained.

"I invited them over as well so that they could speak with Izuku." Shoto explained.

"Hmm? Why was that?" Hisashi asked softly.

"Bakugou apologized to me and we told him that he should also apologize to Izuku." Shoto told him.

"Wow. The asshole Bakugou Katsuki actually apologized and intends to do the same to Izuku?" Tomura scoffed, coming down from their room.

Kirishima glared at him. "You don't even know him. Don't judge him before you know him."

"Oh but I know more than I bet you know. I know about the past he shared with Izuku." Tomura snarled.

"Okay, what is this past that I keep hearing about?!" Kirishima snarled.

Bakugou paled before taking a breath. "Can we all just sit down and I'll explain!" he yelled.

Some people grumbled but did sit down. Bakugou sat down, facing everyone. He took a shaky breath before beginning his story.

"So as Izuku knows, my mother Mitsuki, has an explosive attitude. Our mothers are friends so we ended up being almost raised together. Izuku and I were friends but...I started feeling anger towards him..."

"Why?" Kirishima asked.

"Because...my mom always got on my case for every little thing but would fawn over Izuku even if he made a mistake..."

"But isn't that normal? You are her child and Midobro is a friend's child."

Bakugou shook his head violently and grabbed the front of his shirt, balling it up in his fist. "She always compared me to Izuku! She wanted Izuku as her son!"

Izuku's eyes widened and he thought about how Mitsuki would act towards him and then towards Bakugou when they were younger. It suddenly made sense to him.

Bakugou continued on. "Mom used to say that quirkless people were practically useless. But then Izuku came out as quirkless. And suddenly she was all about having me protect him. She wanted me to protect someone who was quirkless and useless according to her now that her favorite child turned out to be quirkless. And Dad was no help. Whenever Mom would scream and yell at me for a tiny little thing, he would just tell her to go lighter on me. Mom wouldn't listen and that's all he did. He never tried to actually stop her. So when I found out that Izuku was quirkless but still loved dearly by my own mother, I felt anger. It was stronger than before. So I-I..."

"You started bullying me because you had to get the pain and anger out somehow." Izuku finished for him.

Bakugou nodded. "It felt good and I know it shouldn't have but it did. It felt good that the child my mother favored, was feeling similar to how I felt. As we grew up, you and Auntie stopped coming over as much. I thought that maybe Mom would turn her attention back to me but she didn't. She continued to have eyes only for Izuku. I ended up being popular because of my quirk and because I bullied the quirkless kid. But then it led to my inflated ego and the whispers, those damned whispers behind my back. It hurt and so being controlled by the anger and pain towards my mother and our classmates, I started beating you rather than just bullying you."

Kirishima was in shock, staring at Bakugou while the others were surprised at the reason behind the bullying.

"So that's why." Izuku said.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Izuku. And I understand if you hate me because of it. I-" Bakugou cried, tearing up.

Izuku walked over and pulled Bakugou into a hug. "I don't hate you. I understand the reason behind it now and while I did hate that you did that to me, I never hated you. I didn't understand the reason so I resented you, yes. Now that I know, I can forgive you. You were suffering in a way I never saw and I'm sorry for not seeing it before."
