julie had just gotten home from school, and coincidentally you had just fallen asleep. you felt the pull of sleep heavily on your body as her words woke you up, and you felt your body aching for more peaceful sleep.

but you forced your eyes open, your head feeling fuzzy, and sat up.

"-so are you guys ready?" julie spoke excitedly, as if it was a birthday party you all would be going to.

well, you and the boys, anyway.

the gang had decided it was best that julie didn't come, for she wasn't dead and bobbie could very well see her. it would just be the boys and you.

just you.

luke walked over to you, holding your hands to help you up off the couch. he pulled you close to what you guessed to be a hug, but you heard his whispers next to your ears, "are you sure about this?"

the words were definitely quiet enough for no one around you to hear, but your eyes couldn't help meet up with alexs, that showed concern. almost like he knew what luke was saying, and what you were going to say next.

you forced a smile and a "absolutely!"

he sadly smiled, looking down, and turned away from you, still holding one of your hands. you let the smile leave your face, and closed your eyes. all this lying was getting exhausting, putting up a mask felt like running a marathon.

the sun had begun to set as you and the boys walked out of the garage single file. the sun setting also added to the weight in your stomach, and you forced your legs to keep walking down the driveway.

since it was hours until midnight, which was when you planned to talk to bobbie, you and the boys had decided to walk part of the way to his mansion. you had the time, and you appreciated the opportunity it gave you to think.

this was it. no matter what happened with you tonight, or how mentally scarred itd leave you, you all would leave with answers tonight.

this was all you had been waiting for, but something deep in your gut told you to turn around. to run.

instead of focusing on your own problems, you decided to focus on luke. you thought back to your conversation with alex early yesterday morning.

"earlier on, we all went to bobbies." he had said, and his final line echoed in your mind.

luke was the most determined for answers.

this boggled you. why had lukes mind drastically changed since then? you had a feeling it was more than just you being here that made him feel differently. you glanced over at the boy, who nervously fiddled with his hands and stretched his neck gently. he was definitely nervous, but you wondered what for.

julie was right, it was just you that would be doing the talking, so what did luke have to be nervous about. your welfare? seeing bobbie again? was this about trying to keep all of this from you?

you knew that sharing all these thoughts with luke would solve all your problems. but you didn't want to add stress to your day, and something about him wanting to keep it from you made you want to figure it on your own all the more.

you decided that lukes problems weren't helping your stress either, so you tried to think of nothing at all as you and the gang reached the end of julies street.
