SEIRIN TIME OUT

"Takao has the Hawks eye. I realized during the match right before he stopped Kuroko. I was already expecting Kuroko to be stopped by him as well. Midorima is going to start playing serious now, just to inform you all." Everyone silently groan at your blunt comment. "Coach...don't put me in. This match belongs to...." You looked at both Kuroko and Kagami as they smirked at the sight of your cold eyes. "Kuroko and Kagami." Riko sighed out loud, "Fine! Go get them you two!!"

Calculating every inch of everyone's move you took notice of Takao's eyes staring deeply at Kuroko. What bother you was his smirk that kept growing every time he manage to get on the way of our passing game. Kuroko seem to also change his attitude. 'Is he angry....?' Takao passed the ball to Midorima which he shot the ball from the center line. The crowd shouted loud enough to annoy you. 'So this is what Kuroko meant from last time-' your eyes sparkled a little as you came across Midorima's and Takao's techniques.

-flashback when you were 5 years old-

"Yo, M/n!" Looking up at your fathers figure, he chuckled at the sight of your little hands holding the big ball. "Did you know that Hawks have better eyes than eagles? They can see much more further than the normal eye, heck even from the eagle!" Giving the tall male a blank stare you looked away and continue to bounce the ball, "I already learned that in school. Did you just find about this now?" Your father groan at your comment, "C-Cold....No, I just wanted to tell you before you start playing more basketball in the future." Giving your old man a weird look as he walked away from the backyard he waved you a goodbye, "See you in a year kiddo! Protect your mother for me!" "Wait, dad!" Your father stopped moving and looked towards you. "Hm?" Hugging the ball around your arms you hid behind it, "How do I s-stop high range shots...." Your father's eyes widened, then soon relaxed as he chuckled. "How many times did I told you to never ask your enemies weaknesses." You blushed, "B-But you're not my enemy...you're my dad!" Your father clenched his shirt at the feeling of his heart being shot, "C-Cute...! Jeez, fine I'll tell you, but listen very carefully!" Nodding rapidly at his answer your eyes widened and shined as your father taught you what to do. Although, you knew you were never going to block him completely due to his height and yours, but in the future you will.

"His weakness is behind him....." Riko widened her eyes at your sentence. "You mean...." you nod as you quickly looked at Midorima. "Midorima's weakness...." "Did you figured it out!?" "He can miss a shooting range by the opppnent tapping the ball from behind, if only Kagami could, he would be able to defeat one of the Generation of Miracles..."

Seirin 8- Shutoku 14

The game continued with your team taking in and studying Shutoku's techniques and knowledge, but they had notice that Shutoku kept growing on their power and skills.

"Show 'em what you've got, Seirin!!" Kise wasn't liking what he was seeing. "They've shown it, stupid! They manage to keep playing despite the impossible situation Shutoku's given them. That's a miracle in itself!" Kasamatsu looked more annoyed than Kise himself. The pretty boy sighed, "Why don't they let L/n-cchi in already!" "That I can't argue with...."

"If they lose by such a wide margin, people will think of us as losers too!" The annoyed Tsugawa commented his thoughts as his teammates agreed. "But can we win even if were the one on the court...? How can a team power-up that much from one ace player!?" Iwamura added next while the rest tensed, he was right. "Why don't they put that guy that gave their team 26 points!?" Kasuga shouted in frustration while he striated at your calm persona. "...."

IN SEIRIN CHANGING ROOM

The atmosphere was silently thick as if you can almost cut it with a knife. Everyone was glaring at the floor as they were trying to get their nerves and hopes up. "Hey guys...." "Its alright coach!" "Huh?" Riko stared at Hyuuga as if she was going to die if nobody told her what was going on. "We know whatever you're going to say will be dumb, so quit that!" Riko laughed nervously at the boys comment. "What are you doing, Kuroko?" Izuki broke the silence next and stared at a Kuroko, who only watched a video on his phone. "Watching the video I took just now. Checking Takao." "You found his weakness?" "Eh...? Well..."
Everyone gave Kuroko an awkward smile, "Huh?"
"I always think I want to win, but...i never thought about whether I would be capable of winning. But then, even if the score was 100 points apart....we never know if an asteroid won't hit the opponents bench in the last second of the game! That is why I believe I will do everything I can master until we hear the whistle at the end." Amazed at Kuroko's words Hyuuga shouted "....No! They don't fall like that!" Koganei shook in fear at the image. "Asteroids don't fall at your convenience!! How did you come up with that!?" Hyuuga was trying his best to boost the atmosphere more while everyone laughed. Hiroshi hummed as if he was thinking for another conspiracy, "Lets say something more reasonable....like they all get food poisoning....." "That won't happen either!"
"Anyways...instead of praying for freak accidents on them....we've got a better chance of our dream coming true if we just do our best!" Koganei shook every comment away as he tried to come up with something else to lift up the tense aura inside the locker room.

"He's right, just go after the ball...and don't think about what happens at the end..." Everyone smiled and cheered.

BACK TO THE GAME

Kagami got the ball and passed it to Hyuga but Miyaji came and snatched the ball away from Hyuga and now Midorima has the ball. Midorima got ready to make a distance shot but Kagami comes and jumps in front of him but sadly he still makes the point even though Kagami was close to touching the ball

Board: Seirin 27 - Shutoku 48

The next ball game, Izuki had the ball and quickly passes it to Koganei, which surprisingly shoots the ball inside the hoop.

"We got it this time!"

Koganei teared at the randoms shouts coming from the freshmen's, "What a way to say things!"

Takao shot the ball towards Midorima as he was already getting ready to shoot. Right when the ball was close to leaving his hands, Kagami tapped the ball, shocking Midorima by surprise. Although, the tapping didn't damage his shooting as it already went in the hoop. Hyuuga makes a 2 pointer. Once again Takao passes to Midorima, although it is now a 1 v 1 with Kagami. But was then turn into 2 v 1! Takao was on Kagami tail and Midorima passed through. But! Kagami went through Takao shocking him, the red head jumped from behind Midorima and tapped the ball with ended with him missing the ball, but Otsubo came and made a dunk. Blah blah blah our team was getting beaten up bad so now it was the end of the 3rd quarter.

"Damn!" "Kagami, don't get worked up like that! Cool down!" Izuki groan in annoyance at the red hairs claims. "Yeah, you should've seen that wasn't the time to attack! You should've turned the ball back and...." Hyuuga drank his water, unknown of the red hairs anger creeping up. "So what if I don't pass!" "Agh?" Stopping Kuroko from walking towards Kagami, he let you go as he stared at your form making its way towards Kagami. "Look- right now I'm the only one on pair with Shutoku! What we need right now isn't teamwork- it's me scoring!" Hyuuga glared at Kagami, "What's that!? There's no time for you to get self center here!" Kagami was about to return a come back, but notice you in front of him. Without any warning your fist collided with his chin as he groan.
"L/n!!!" Kagami quickly grabbed the collar of your shirt, "You asshole!!" "Basketball is not a one-man sport...." "You mean you'll let it rest if you lose as long as everyone enjoys playing!? There no meaning unless we win!" "But there's no meaning if you win alone...You said you wanted to defeat the Generation of Miracles...." quickly head butting the red hair, he fell to the ground as You crouched down to pull his collar, face close to yours, "But you think the same just like them...if you can get that drilled up in your brain then it's best for the team for YOU to sit down and let me play." Roughly pushing him away everyone stared at you in shock.

"And even if we defeat Shutoku "your way" no one will be happy..." kagami quickly stood up, returning you one punch back, "Don't talk high minded like this! If we lose here, that'll just be some feel-good trash!" Feeling you're veins forming on your hands and arms, you tightened your fist, trying to stop yourself from releasing all your anger towards Kagami, "In that case what's "Victory"? Even if you have a higher score than the opponent when the final whistle blows...if there's no one happy, is it "victory".....?" Everyone felt chills running down their spine at the dark aura that seem to grow larger every once in a while. Kagami silently stared at your form in shock "....Not that we want to lose! But basketball is not a sport that can be played alone!" Koganei decided to barge in between the two of you, while the two of you send glares at each other. Hyuuga came and pushed the two away from each other, "You have anything to say?" Kagami looked away, "well...not...no, I'm sorry." Kuroko smiles from afar as you sighed and sat back on the bench.

"It'll be so much better if we win this together." Kagami words made everyone relax and smile.
"L/n-kun you're in! Koganei you're out!" Riko commanded as the two of you agreed.

Seirin 28 - Shutoku 81

After Kagami had apologize to Hyuuga, he stood in front of you while you tightened your shoe laces. "Sorry...." Standing up straight, facing the red hair You shook your head, "It's alright....plus you were heated because of our number on that score board." Kagami nodded, "Let's go change that real quick!" Agreeing with the red hair you walked towards the court with him.
