Prompt:
"Go buy a personality."Warnings: Swearing
"Go buy a personality, you jerk!" you spat angrily at Shingo after shoving him slightly.
He tried to smack you into a guardrail during practice, PRACTICE! You could've flown off the mountain.
"Whatever, bitch. You should've clipped that guardrail. Getting you out of the game would make me number 2 on the team." Shingo said rudely as he lit up a cigarette that was between his lips.
Your blood was boiling and you cocked back to hit him with a right hook, but someone's hand grabbed your fist lightly to stop you. Fuming, you turned to the side to see it was Takeshi.
"As much as I would enjoy seeing you knock his lights out, we need him tomorrow." Takeshi spoke softly to you and you simply let out a huff.
"Jackass." you spat out and then turned swiftly walking back to your car, starting it and pulling out of the parking lot quickly. Your mind was fogged with anger as you ripped through the corners of Myogi, not to mention you were literally shaking with anger because of that stupid idiot.
"Ughhhh!" you shouted to yourself frustratingly in the car as you drifted angrily into the turn.
Half way down the mountain, you decided it would be the safer to pull over and cool off before an accident happened because you weren't focusing.
Pulling off the main road to a little spot that faced off the mountain, you let out a sigh as you pulled up your e-brake. Getting out of the car you could see the twinkling of the city lights below and it immediately calmed you down.
You sat back on the hood of your car and closed your eyes, breathing in the fresh air. It was so peaceful. You focused your mind on the slight breeze that blew by, ruffing your hair and smiled.
Oh how you could stay in the moment forever.
As your mind was occupied with your new found happy place, Shingo made his way down the mountain. He felt sort of guilty for trying to kill you during practice and he, uncharacteristically, wanted to apologize for it. Also, not to mention, you were the only one on the team he could tolerate.
Sighing, he caught the glimpse of your car and pulled into the park where you were. He noticed you didn't make an effort to leave so he shut his car off and got out. He noted that your eyes were closed as your head was titled back, facing the sky. The pleasant smile on your face almost made him want to turn back and act like he was never there to begin with, but he couldn't. He needed to apologize.
"Y/N..." Shingo called softly as he watched you almost jump 6 feet in the air.
"S-Shingo!?! What are you doing here!?" you asked with surprise and suspicion in your voice, but then immediately put on your resting bitch face since you were still upset with him.
"Listen, I know you're upset about the whole guardrail thing....so I came to apologize." Shingo let out shakily.
What was he doing apologizing to someone? He hadn't done that in years, yet here he was, genuinely apologizing to you.
"I'm sorry." he said at the end and then looked at you with uncertainty. He didn't know how you were going to react.
You, hearing those words, were shocked. Shingo was APOLOGIZING to you!!?
"O-Oh um....apology accepted, Shingo. I really appreciate it." you choked out softly as you looked at the man. Shingo simply nodded his head and silently looked over at the city lights below.
"I-uh, was wondering if you'd like to go out some time?" Shingo let out nervously, although he didn't show it, keeping that mad look on his face that he had on all the time.
You were surprised and looked over at him to see if he was just playing with you.
"Are you serious? You want to go out on a date with me? Nothing underlying?" you asked.
"Nothing underlying, just a date and we'll see where we go from there." Shingo replied truthfully as he tore his gaze away from the city lights to your e/c eyes.
"Okay, yeah. I'll go on a date with you." you said with a soft smile, hoping off your hood and walking towards the drivers side of your car.
"I'll see you tomorrow night, 7:00pm?" you asked as you opened your car door.
"Works for me." Shingo replied smoothly and pulled out another cigarette.
Smiling you slipped into your car and drove off. You couldn't stop thinking about the fact that not only did Shingo try and kill you, and you wanted to punch him for it, but he apologized and asked you on a date. What the hell was wrong with this man?
Who knows honestly, but you are willing to find out.
