Ryosuke- Blurb

"I've had a rough day and honestly all I want right now is a drink and someone to cuddle with..."

You had just finished cleaning the dishes when you heard the front door of your home open and close.

"Ryosuke?" you called as said man appeared in the kitchen, a gloomy look on his face.

"Baby...what's wrong?" concern laced itself in your voice as you came to stand in front of him, placing your hands on his chest gently.

"I've had a rough day and honestly all I want right now is a drink and someone to cuddle with..." Ryosuke replied dishearteningly, voice exhausted.

Your heart broke at the tone of his voice. Ryosuke was never like this. Sure he was tired sometimes but he was never sad. At least not like this. What happened?

"Of course, baby." you said softly and kissed his cheek gently.

Pulling away from him, you went to the liquor cabinet and poured him a glass of an expensive fancy liquor he brought back when he returned from Tokyo with Keisuke a month ago.

Many worried thoughts ran through your mind as you added ice to the cup after pouring it for him. Normally, you were supposed to add the ice and then the liquor, but since your mind was a jumble tonight, you did it backwards.

You returned the bottle to its rightful place before making your way to the living room.
The ice clinked in the glass as you made your way around the couch to Ryosuke, whose head was tilted back against the soft cushion, eyes closed.

"Here sweetheart." you said softly as you handed him the drink.

His eyes opened, as he reached out for the glass, drinking half of it in one go and then setting it on the coffee table.

You sat yourself beside him and he leaned over, placing his head against your shoulder. You maneuvered so the two of you were laying down, Ryosuke on top of you as you comfortingly ran your fingers through his hair.

Your heart was sad seeing him like this.

Normally he was smiley and talkative, but right now he was just....different. You wanted your happy Ryosuke back but you didn't want to ask him anything he wasn't ready to talk about. And you also didn't know what to do to cheer him up.

But, if you learned anything about Ryosuke from being with him for about four years now, you knew that when he was ready to talk, he would. He just needed a bit of time first.

So for now, all you could do was be here for him, cuddling him, and wait for him to be ready to tell you what happened.
