Takumi- Smile

"Why don't you smile more often?" you started, "You always look down in the dumps."

Takumi stared at you for a brief moment and then looked back down at the restaurants table. He sighed and took a sip of coffee and looked back up at you.

"So, like this?" he questioned.

He smiled at you with his teeth bearing, nose slightly scrunched and his blank eyes filled with happiness. Your eyes widened in surprise and you could feel your cheeks warming up. "Y-yeah like that."

Takumi let out a small laugh and shook his head.

There was a comfortable silence that fell between you two. Taking a sip of your own drink, you looked out the window at the cars that were passing by.

"Y-you know Y/N...you look very pretty when you smile too." came Takumi's voice from across the table.

You couldn't help but smile and blush at that. "W-why thank you, Takumi. That's very sweet of you."

"I really wish I could be the reason why." He said quietly, with a blush across his cheeks.

Your eyes widened and you looked at the cutie in front of you. "W-who says you aren't?"

It was now Takumi's turn to look at you with wide eyes. "Really? But like you said, I always look down in the dumps. How could that make you smile?"

"Well- for starters, even if you don't smile much, being around you makes me really happy and I always get excited to see you." you said while flickering your eyes from your drink to him, and back to your drink.

This time, Takumi's smile was real as it spread across his lips and small creases formed at the corners. A smile that reached his eyes.

"You make me really happy Y/N." Takumi said as he slowly laced his fingers with yours on the table.

"You make me happy too, Takumi." you said smiling.

"C-Could we go out some time? Like on a date?" Takumi asked shyly.

"I would love that." you said and took a sip of your drink, already planning where you're first date with Takumi was going to be.
