Harry's POV
Today was the day of our concert. Man, I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get onstage and rock!
The only thing distracting me was the fact that all the boys weren't in their rooms. I searched for all four of them, no trace of them at all. Even though all their stuff cluttered the rooms, I couldn't find them.
Where the hell did you guys go?
When I got to the lounge, my eyes widened at the sight of all four of them, jumping out from behind the chairs and couches.
"If this is your way of celebrating my already gone birthday, then no!" I laughed.
"No, Harold," Louis sighed. "It's a surprise, for something else."
"There's someone here for you," Zayn smiled, his hands on the shoulders of a brunette girl who looked oh so familiar.
When her eyes met mine, I was shocked when I realized it was ... Mackenzie!
"W-w-wha-" I faltered.
"Hey," she mumbled. "Surprise?"
An awkward silence was hanging in the air. All of us kept staring at each other, thinking of what action to take next. Liam coughed and Niall started whistling.
"Um, I'm gonna go," Louis murmured, pointing to the other room.
"Same," the other three said.
Soon enough, they had all shuffled out of the room, leaving Mackenzie and I to ourselves.
The situation just got more awkward!
She sighed and plopped onto the nearest couch, starting to massage her temples.
"I knew it," she muffled, shaking her head. "I knew it'd never work!"
Her head shifted it's position to the ceiling, the tears streaming down her cheeks, onto her lap. They were flowing down so fast, it felt as if she was about to cry out a river. Now, I felt guilty.
"You hate me," she blurted. "You hate me, that's why you won't talk to me, right?"
"What!?" I exclaimed.
"Yes, you do," she got up and stepped closer to me. "You hate me."
"Why would I -"
"Because you think I denied your dating offer just to break your heart. You think I made you fall on love with me just to become famous. And you think that I kissed you at the airport just for publicity. Don't you now?"
"What, no!"
"Yes, you do," she screeched. "You think I'm a worthless piece of shit who doesn't deserve to love anyone and -"
"Mackenzie -"
"I'm the most pathetic human being on earth, and -"
"Mack, stop -"
"I don't even deserve your love, or your kiss or -"
Then, to prove her wrong, I did the only thing that came to my mind; I kissed her.
When I pulled away, fresh tears were streaming down her cheeks. Her breathing was hitched and she looked absolutely miserable.
"I love you, Harry." she wheezed.
I pushed her against a wall as she let out a tiny scream. I covered her mouth and made her look directly into my eyes.
"You hurt me," I whispered. "You're not allowed to love me. Not until you make up with me, or ..."
"Or?" she muffled, my hand still on her mouth.
I removed it and stepped away from her, but she still remained firm and stiff against the wall.
"Or else I don't wanna see your face. Ever again."
She let out more and more tears. Man, I wanted to comfort her. I wish I could hold her, kiss her, make her pain go away ... but I just couldn't bring myself to.
Instead, I walked away from her, leaving her to cry, all alone.
When I glanced over my shoulder, I spotted Louis and Zayn comforting her. Louis glanced in my direction and shot a glare at me.
Like. I. Cared.

Mackenzie's POV
"I told you," I cried. "He hates me for dissing him, and he has every right too."
"But he wants you to make it up to him, didn't you already," Zayn questioned. "I mean, you came all the way here."
"It wasn't enough," I sighed, trying to get up on my feet. Instead, I tripped and landed in Louis' arms.
"Let's take you to bed, then we can discuss this situation." he whispered, lifting me up.
I nodded and leaned against his chest, drifting off to sleep.
For a second, I woke up when I thought someone had entered my room. All I saw was someone with curly brown hair, whispering something that I could barely understand. Then, I dozed off again. All I could make out was this:
"Mack, I'm so sorry."
Then, I guess after two hours, I woke up. When I looked around, my eyes landed on a note, which laid upside down on my bed. I picked it up and opened it. It was from Louis.
Sorry! Our concert had started, so we had to leave. We'll be back as soon as possible. Till then, help yourself to anything in the fridge. - Louis
I sighed and got up, heading towards the bathroom. When I got inside, I saw another note. It was on the floor. After I had picked it up, I read it and was shocked at what it said.
Mack, I am so sorry for how I treated you. I know it's wrong that I gave you the cold shoulder, even though you came all the way here. And I didn't mean anything I said. You don't have to make it up to me, you coming here is all I needed. Thank you for caring and I really am in love with you. I'm not lying. Please give me another chance, I'll be back from the concert soon. Yours forever, (I hope, at least) Harry Edward Styles.
Oh, Harry! Why do you always make me fall in love with you all over again?
I have to make this right. I need another chance, and I want to give him one to.
Harry, I have to see you!
So, I rushed out of the hotel, hailed a cab and drove to the arena where the boys were performing.
I just hope I'm not too late.
