Mackenzie's POV

"Are you sure?" Harry says, the worry evident in his husky voice.

I nod, even though I know he can't see me, as he's still in Japan and all. Today was their concert, and he said it was amazing. I'm glad he has fun in whatever he does.

But I just wish I was there to support him.

"Yeah." I sigh, picking up my bag. "I'm going to meet her, no matter what she tries, I still want to see what she wants."

"Stay safe, I'm not there to save you like last time!"

"Harry." I mumble. "I'll be fine. If not, it was nice knowing you."

"Don't say that!" he screams. "We'll see each other again! I'm not abandoning you, and there is no way you're ending this! You're not ending us, ya got that!?"

"I'm not ending us, Harry!" I moan. "I just ... I don't know. I'm just saying if it doesn't work out -"

"It will!" he interrupts. "It'll work out. Because no matter how far away I may be, I'm still with you. No matter what, I want you to know that I love you. More than anyone I've ever met."

"More than Nadine?"

I instantly regret uttering those three dreadful words. The line is silent for a while. Tears gathering in my eyes, I disconnect the call and storm out of Tori's house.

Why wasn't he answering? Why?

My phone buzzed, signaling a new text message. It was from Harry.

Should I?

I gave in to the temptation and read the text, smiling at what it said.

Yes. More than Nadine. Like, way more than her. - Hazza

I breathe out a sigh of relief, letting the tears stream down my face as I walk towards my childhood.

"Harry, no matter where you are, you're still with me. I love you for that. I just wish you were here with me right now."

As I neared the dreaded house of my past, I fiddled with the door handle. It was jammed.

Damn it!

So, I took the next action that came to mind. I kicked that shitty door open. It sprang open, frightening me.

Inside, cob webs covered the walls. The interior and furniture was all covered in aluminum sheets. The paint was peeling off the walls, and I'm pretty sure I saw a rat scamper by.

Talk about poor demeanor!

This is my home!? What the fuck!? I only left a month ago, how could something like this happen so quickly?

"It's about time, Mackenzie." an old woman's voice echoed.

I turned around, my eyes widening in shock as to what I saw.

"M-mom!" I exclaimed. "Wh-what happened to you!? And your voice, and this place, and ... what!?"

She gave me a weak smile as she opened her arms wide, beckoning me over.

Instead, I took three steps backwards as I was totally being weirded about.

"You have ... wrinkles. And you're hair ... it's a mess, and ... what are you wearing?" I stuttered.

She gazed at herself, before gazing back at me, another weak smile forming on her dried up lips.

"This is what happens when you live with you ex-husband for two months before he goes totally bizarre." she answers calmly, taking slight steps towards me.

"Uh ..." I have no idea what to say to her.

I turn around and walk out the door, my mom calling my name behind me.

I am never, EVER, looking at someone like her again! I know this is rude, but she kind of deserves it for what she tried to do to me.

I pull out my phone and text my brother.

Lucas, can I stay with you in Canada for a while? Need a get away, now! - Mack

'Course, sweet sis! Come today! I'll pay for your ticket. - Lucas

I smile and head to Tori's place, packing my stuff. I bid her and her family farewell as I head to the airport.

Time for Canada.

"Babe, why didn't you come to Singapore?" Harry whines, his face forming into a frown.

"I didn't know where you're staying." I smile.

"Well, I could have told you AND payed for your ticket. You should've come!"

"What if I say I wanted to spend time with my brother?" I smirk.

"But Skype isn't enough. I wanna hug you, and kiss you, and lay down in bed with you, cuddling with you while we drift off to sleep. I want to whisper sweet and cheesy things into your ear, and I want to sing to you, and only you. And there is so much more on my mind that I'll only tell you if you come here!"

I blush at how much Harry wants me to be near him, and how sweet that little scamp is.

"I'm sorry." is all I manage to say. "I'll try to visit you boys soon."

His frowns forms into a grin. Then, he yawns, his eyes drooping.

"You should get some rest, Harry." I whisper. "Jet lag won't help you with your concert tomorrow."

He nods, waving goodbye before disconnecting the call. As I close the cover on my IPad, I receive a text.

Night, babe! - Hazza

I smirk at how silly that goofball is. Laughing, I type my text and send it to him.

Goodnight, my sweet little Hazza. Love you. - Mack

"Having fun talking to your famous boyfriend?" a familiar voice cooes, scaring the hell outta me.

"Bastard!" I screech, throwing a pillow at my stupid brother. "Knock before entering a girls room!"

"Not when it's my girlfriends house." he snickers.

I roll my eyes and get up, flinging my arms around him in a hug.

"I missed you so much, you big dope!" I mumble into his chest.

"Missed you too, little sis." he whispers into my ear.

"Well, I'm tired!" I pull away, yawning.

"But it's four in the afternoon!" he chuckles.

"Asshole, I have jet lag, now let me sleep before I dump a bucket of water on you to make you go away!"

He chuckles before sticking his tongue out at me and leaving my room.

That idiot is still such a kid. Sometimes, it's hard to believe he's the oldest.

As I switch on the television, I see a news report entitled 'Nadine and Harry dating rumour has been proven false'.

I smile and listen to the rest.

"Turns out, Harry Styles is actually not dating his previous girlfriend, Nadine Leopold." the reporter says, making me grin like crazy. "It was just a stunt pulled by the latter to seek attention and to make it seem like Harry Styles was dating her. That was just a publicity stunt, those two aren't together."

I start squealing like crazy at this amazing news.

Talk about best day ever!
