The world is a very big, vast, and spacious place. There are billions of other universes out there just minding their own businesses and problems on their own. Our universe only takes up about maybe 0.01% of this utterly wide world. The sun and our stars are only part of a gazillion more. Earth is one individual planet and it has atleast a million clones somewhere out there.
So little things doesn't really matter. Like how we go to work on a late hour; how we don't clean our dishes; and how Shota fucking Aizawa would lie to his goddamned class about expelling one student who was supposed to be the nerd, Izuku Midoriya.
Todoroki wanted to sue.
Though he kept himself composed and cool as if he knew what was coming ahead of them-which he remotely did. To him, it was a complete waste of time when no one was getting expelled in the end anyway, regardless, it was a well warm up. It was quite a disappointment from the fact that it was his first day in the most prestigious hero school around Japan and nothing chivalrous happened to his class, except for the surprise from their teacher who looked like a homeless dude.
Was he even a hero? Well, he's never heard such hero before.
Todoroki could only sigh then go and look straight ahead again. His first day had just ended and honestly, he never found anything intriguing. But what is there to be unhappy of? Maybe his years in UA will be more eventful than he thought, who knows?
He was on his way back home by walking, something he's grown used of since he was a child. As he looks down to the bare ground, all he could do was bring up a stoic face while a million thoughts start to form into a big cloud in his own eerie mind.
He couldn't hear the sound of the universe. He couldn't notice the houses and establishments around him. He couldn't feel the wind passing by his slump figure.
All he could think of was how he was going to get pass the upcoming obstacles during his years in UA. Most importantly, how was he going to betray his goddamn Dad in the worst way he could never think of?
Why do teens have so many daddy issues? I mean come on. Can't Dads just live happily with their children/child and not leave or abuse them?
I can't really blame you guys since I have daddy issues too :/
But anyway, back to the story!
Todoroki was deep in thought that nothing could ever distract him. Well, nothing but one.
Out of nowhere, the same cherry blossom scent came barging into his nose gracefully. And not soon after, the sound of a flute came.
Every thought in his mind vanished by just the fragrance and the sound. He came wide-eyed for a second before lifting his head up, looking straight ahead to his path. It was near and it seemed like it came from the park.
Without thinking, his feet began dragging him to the park where a few people had fun time with themselves, unconsciously passing by his home at the same time. Though he never cared, he was too consumed by the music.
He had no idea why it was so overwhelming, he thought it was very appealing in any positive way possible. He wasn't thinking so he came to a thought of maybe it was some sort of witchcraft, maybe a magic kind of quirk lead him to an unexplainable euphoria he had invited himself in.
As the scent and the music became clearer at every steps he made, the trees danced along the wind and the sun that was slowly disappearing from the horizon was accompanied by a radiant color palette of pink and orange.
And while walking almost blankly, he realized he had stepped in a vacant area of the park where pink Sakura trees surrounded it. Todoroki gaped slightly at the almost unrealistic view he had witnessed, especially now that he spotted a girl-who seemed to be a few inches shorter than him-breathing air through the holes of her flute. And that scent, that addicting cherry blossom scent was originated from her.
He then stopped, taking his time watching while in the verge of being awestruck.
The girl had her back against him with her [h/l], vibrant [h/c] veiling the top of her pretty baby blue dress which swayed gracefully along with the wind. Her dark brown boots were shimmering, and that scent, of course, how could he forget that? It was addicting and relaxing at the same time. It kept him in ease.
He watched her produce music through her small instrument from behind, not wanting for the song to end just yet. He was cool and the way she made music so naturally made everything seem better. He wanted to see her face.
So, she did.
The song ended and she settles down to take a breath. With a weak smile plastered into her face, she wiped the sweat on her forehead before suddenly noticing a presence from behind her. Slowly, she twisted her head around until her gaze met with another that came from two completely different colored eyes. Her eyes widened, surprised of seeing a stranger watching her.
Meanwhile, Todoroki's eyes sparkled once she met a pair of [e/c] orbs. It reflected the pink and orange hue of the sky and the glitters in them looked like the crystal-like sparkles of the sea at sunset. Her skin was as pale as a ghost but she looked alive, and god was she beautiful. It was as if she was the goddess-Aphrodite herself. He had never seen such unreal beauty before.
The girl's eyes shrunk back into its original size before fully turning her body around, still contemplating in the process. She held the flute to her chest and her hand stroked her hair to the side because of the relatively strong wind. Both still had their eyes on each other and it didn't seem like one of them was going to break the somewhat comfortable eye contact any sooner.
Silence. Silence was only there with them, though the wind and the trees didn't count. They simply just stared in silence. And the girl was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable for a short while.
Todoroki watched as her natural pink lips parted swiftly until a soft voice could be heard despite the decent amount of distance between the two.
"U-Umm..."
Todoroki was silent. She gulped, "May I ask, why are you h-here?" She asked politely and Todoroki swore he felt something stirring up inside of him.
"Excuse me?" She asked once again, raising her voice a little bit. Though he stayed silent but he already snapped out of whatever he was thinking about.
He noticed the worried look in her face and that's when he began to slightly panic. He cleared his throat and forced himself back to his senses. He had his head hung low and said monotonously, "I'm sorry for intruding. I'll leave now."
He had his eyes still on the ground when turning to his back with a hint of nervousness in his lightly flushed face. He made his first three steps but before he could make the fourth, he was stopped by a sudden grip on his wrist.
"Wait!"
Todoroki hesitantly turned around then met her glamorous eyes again. She was wide-eyed for a moment because of how certain she was about who this random guy was. Atleast that's what she thought before asking in high anticipation.
"Are you Shoto Todoroki?"
Todorki nodded and she smiled brightly. She let go of his wrist and extended a hand. He just stared at it.
"I'm-"
dun dun dun dun dura dun dun dun dun dun dun
Todoroki's phone rang before she could continue and he took it without second thoughts. He accepted the call then placed the thin phone on his ear.
"Shoto, come home right now! Let's go out for barbecue before the restaurant gets full of costumers!"
His sister exclaimed from the other line. His expression remained stoic as he replied with a blunt 'okay' before putting his phone back to his school bag. He then looks up to glance at the girl with a rather dissapointed look on his face. She just smiled apologetically.
"You should probably go." She said and he nodded. He turned around to walk away, only it was final this time. But he first glanced at her from behind before leaving.
The girl remained smiling whilst watching his figure slowly disappearing from the distance.
Once he disappeared from her sight, she looked down and sighed in slight dismay, 'maybe next time'.
