When Xin Mei was a child, Xin Jin was very concerned about her safety. He was afraid that other boys or girls would bully her. So, he had personally sent her to the best self-safety classes in the city.

That was why Xin Mei was a black belt in karate and her kicking and boxing skills were also very strong. She knew how to protect herself.

So, when handkerchief was placed over her nose, she held her breath to not inhale the chloroform. She was an expert swimmer, so it was not a big deal for her to hold her breath for a slightly longer time. 

She took deep gulps of breath when the handkerchief was removed from her nose. Her heart was beating fast out of fear. Her eyes were wide opened and she was trying to adjust them to the darkness enveloping around them.

She was also feeling slightly dizzy because of the little amount of chloroform which she had accidentally inhaled.

 "Finally, I will have you for myself." She heard a hoarse voice and again her heartbeat picked up with fear.

The man in the darkness ran his finger on her cheeks, Xin Mei took his finger in her hand and twisted it badly. The man yelled in pain.

Xin Mei took this chance and stood up from her seat, with unsteady legs, she stepped away from him.

"How dare of you to enter my room? Do you think you can kidnap me? I am not this weak!" She yelled and kept stepping away. Her heart was beating hard out of fear. Her eyes were also blinded with haziness.

"Very smart of you Xin Mei," the man chuckled. "So, you were able to avoid the effect of chloroform, my bad. But do not worry, soon I will take you away, all to myself. For now, I will satisfy myself with a kiss."

The man's sight had already adjusted to the darkness. He walked towards her and cornered her towards the wall. Xin Mei tried to kick him but he easily blocked her attack.

"Did I tell you, I am a martial art expert? Your silly attacks will not have any effect on me."

Heart of Xin Mei skipped a beat and her breath hitched. Sweat formed on her forehead and she started to feel slightly hot.

"Now let me kiss you." The man held on her cheeks with his hand, squeezing them.

Xin Mei took a deep breath and smiled slightly, "did I tell you, I am also a karate expert?"

And with that, she kneed his private part. She pushed him back. She bounced on her legs and kicked him hard on his stomach, using both of her legs. She gave him a U-turn kick before slapping him hard across his face.

She started to breathe hard and looked at the silhouette of that man. She could feel dizziness overtaking her.

"You. I will not...leave to you." She breathed hard and was about to again hit that man but he already took his chance and ran out of the room with fear. He was afraid of getting his identity disclosed. He knew lights could be back anytime from now.

Once, he was gone, Xin Mei leaned against the wall. She started to fan herself and took deep breathes. Her breathing became shallow and dots appeared in front of her eyes. She could feel the effect of chloroform taking over her senses.

At the same moment, the lights came back. Xin Mei sighed and rushed towards the water bottle. She emptied it all over her face and sighed.

After that, she reached her mobile and called the number of Su Yuchen.

"Chen," she spoke in a broken and heavy voice. The fear which she was feeling came rushing to her.

"Mei, what happened? Why are you sounding like this?" he asked with concern.
