Day Eleven Prompt:
Kiss
Write a kissing scene of any kind! Get creative.

Because pretty much all of my oneshots end up with Jack and Nikki kissing, this prompt threw me off a little bit, as I didn't want it to be too similar to something I've written before. So after some thinking, this is what I eventually came up with, a little something I can imagine happening if they got together :) Also, apologies over how short it is!!

Jack used to go running alone. He would get lost in his own thoughts, headphones in, letting the world go by. Sometimes his mind would drift to a case, sometimes his Da. Very very often, he would think about Nikki.

And now he had her running with him.

Every morning before work, it would be a couple of laps around the local park. They would start side by side, Nikki eventually a couple of paces in front, trying to prove that she was fitter than him. That's what Jack let her think anyway. He would always slow down a bit, just so he could see the smug smile on her face as she ran ahead.

There was no exception today. Nikki sped up in front of him, Jack lingering behind her. He paused for a sip of water, Nikki coming to a halt when she realised he was no longer following her. A grin widened on her face as she turned, knowing it was a perfect time to wind him up.

"Come on, slow coach," she teased. Even in sports gear and dripping with sweat, Jack still thought she was gorgeous. She stopped in front of him, hands on her hips, a glint in her eye.

"Are you trying to wind me up?" he chuckled, as she reached up to wrap her arms around his neck.

"Yes."

Nikki let out a giggle, Jack pressing his lips to hers. He grabbed her waist, pushing her backwards towards a nearby tree. A hand reached for his hair, gripping onto it, as if it would never let go. Both were completely unbothered by any onlooker that happened to walk past, way too busy in the moment to care. Jack began to tease her with short, sweet kisses, until he stopped, keeping his face inches away from hers, staring into her eyes. He could tell she wanted him to carry on, but he was competitive, and today, he wasn't going to be mocked by his girlfriend, who was half his size.

"I'm still faster than you," he said with a grin, bombing off down the path, leaving her on her own. She shouted something at him that he didn't quite catch, something that sounded not very nice, and he laughed to himself as the footsteps began pacing behind him.

Jack was still untired when Nikki stopped behind him, panting and chugging water down to cool herself down. Now it was his turn to be smug.

He sauntered over to her with a grin, bending down to her height as she caught her breath back.

"Who's slow now, huh?"

Nikki hit his arm playfully.

"Shut up."

Clearing his throat, Jack waited for the answer he wanted to hear, Nikki not wanting to admit it. Eventually, she stood back up straight, rolling her eyes in defeat.

"Ok, fine, you win."

Jack stretched gleefully, watching as Nikki rubbed her side wincing.

"I've got a stitch now," she moaned.

Knowing exactly what she what she was hoping for he turned around, back facing her and arms out.

"Get on."

Nikki smiled, using his shoulders to jump up onto his back, wrapping her legs around his torso. He hoisted her up, making sure she was comfortable, and so he didn't accidently drop her, then began to walk again. He felt her smile into his neck, pressing a kiss to it, before resting her chin on his shoulder as they excited the park.
