I had so so much fun writing this one!!

Nikki didn't know what she was going to do when she saw him. He'd gone when she'd woken up this morning, so they didn't have a chance to talk about it. About how good she felt with him.

They had a meeting as soon as she got to work. Jack was nowhere in sight, probably already waiting in the observation room. It would've helped to have been able to pull him aside to discuss what had happened, instead of having to sit for an hour with half a dozen other people, remembering the way that he'd touched her the night before.

She gave herself a pep talk before walking into the room. Keep calm and collected Nikki. It'll be fine. You'll be able to talk it over with him later.

Jack looked up straight away when she entered, staring intently at her. Nikki froze, watching his eyes meet hers, before traveling up and down her body. She lost all memory of what she'd told herself previously, losing her cool, letting out a sigh. Luckily, there was only one other person in the room, an older detective who was much more engrossed in the notes in front of him. He didn't notice her breath of air. But Jack did, the ghost of a grin creeping onto his face.

He was so utterly attractive when he smiled, Nikki wanting to storm over and kiss the smile straight off his lips. But of course, with more people coming into the room, she thought it a bad idea.

Normally she'd sit in her usual seat beside Jack, but today she couldn't face it. She knew she wouldn't be able to contain herself if his hand even brushed her thigh. Sitting down in the chair opposite him, she dared a glance at him, finding him already looking at her. He was so clearly undressing her with his eyes, and she found herself doing the same. The way he was with her last night, gentle but passionate, soft but urgent, she'd wanted it for a very long time.

The meeting began, but Nikki was barely listening. Her heart was beating so fast, thinking about how happy Jack had looked lying beside her, stroking her hip, leaning in to kiss her when he missed the taste of her.

She needed to stop. She needed to pay attention to the case. But she could still feel Jack's lips on her skin and it was a feeling she never wanted to get rid of.

Someone interrupted her from her thoughts, asking her to explain something. She blushed, realising how out of it she must have looked, standing up and making her way over to the board.

Jack stared at her the entire time. He couldn't tear his eyes away. He was always so mesmerised by her, everything about her was breathtaking, perfect. Even more so after last night.

It was so obvious how it had affected her; she was practically glowing. He wouldn't have been surprised if everyone in the room had latched onto what happened. And there was no doubt that it was the only thing going through Nikki's mind as she spoke about the case, just like it was in his.

He'd turned up uninvited, yet she happily let him in. Jack couldn't even remember why he'd gone there instead of home. He just loved her company. When he wasn't with her, he found himself missing her terribly. And when she was there, making him smile, he wanted to stay with her forever.

They'd barely had anything to drink. It just happened. One moment, she was sitting beside him, the next, she was in his lap, kissing him with such desperation. Her hands had clasped at his neck, at his hair, yearning for more.

He'd picked her up then, letting her wrap her legs around him, holding her back to steady her. His t-shirt had been discarded as he carried her up the stairs, hers along the hallway. She'd managed to unbuckle his belt as they entered her bedroom, pulling it off and throwing it across the room.

He'd dropped her onto the bed, gripping onto her wrists, as he planted kisses on her neck. She'd let out a soft moan, Jack's kisses moving to her lips. The way she'd smiled, the way he had, it seemed as though they'd both been aching for it for a long time. Everything felt so real when he was with her, so right.

Nikki had finished speaking, signalling that the meeting had come to an end. Everyone began packing away as she made her way back to her seat to pick up her belongings. This time, she passed where Jack was seated. No one was paying attention to them, making comments to each other, not even looking at Jack and Nikki. Jack had reached out, grabbing her hand, pulling her towards him. Their lips met for the briefest of seconds, before Nikki pulled away, taking a glance around, seeing if anyone had noticed. They were all oblivious.

Why did she care so much about what people thought? It had probably been so blindingly obvious through the entire meeting, that everyone was entirely uninterested. Nikki relaxed, biting her lip as Jack's arm snaked around her waist.

It seemed as though there was nothing to discuss between the two of them either. Jack was showing her exactly what he wanted, out in the open, in the public eye. And it was exactly what she wanted too.
