" Kokichi, Wake up we're here. " Shuichi shook the smaller boy softly.  Grumbles and noises came from Kokichi, his eyes opening slowly,

"I'm up.. "  The moonlight shined, standing high still in the sky.  Kokichi's eyes squinted in the dark, the soft glow from the base helping Kokichi not wander off into the dark.  He sat up, Shuichi already standing hopping down the cargo bed Kokichi following.  He stumbled a bit, sight a bit foggy from waking up.  Shuichi noticed stopping in his tracks to catch up to Kokichi's slower speed.

"You alright?" Shuichi wore a soft gaze, hard to see in the dark lighting.  Kokichi only nodded, eyes half-lidded, making Shuichi chuckle lowly.  An arm wrapped around Kokichi's shoulder, making the shorter boy stiffen, yet after a bit relaxing into the touch.

Kokichi covered his eyes, blocking the bright lights and sudden shift of lighting when entering the building.  He grumbled, turning and covering his face into Shuichi's chest, making the taller boy flushed, as he stiffened at the action.  He carefully held the other up from falling over, "I'll be back Kaito, I'm going to take Kokichi to his room, he's knocked out.."  Shuichi laughed lightly,  Kaito nodded with a tired grin carrying in a few boxes.

His eyes turned to Kokichi, seeing the boy half-asleep eyes half-lidded with light bags clung to his eyes.  Kaito nodded to the tall boy, Shuichi helping Kokichi to the rooms.

He walked past the decorated doors, the moon being the only light through the halls.  His eyes squinted, spotting the checkered door with a sign, words scribbled onto it. His hand grazed the scribbled sign, before turning the knob.

A messy room laid out, bed left undone along with a few clothes scattered around the flooring.  Shuichi made a small smile, shaking his head softly at how messy the boy is.  Carefully he laid Kokichi onto the bed, the purple head shifting around before wrapping himself completely in the blanket.

Shuichi smiled at the sight, the small boy completely wrapped in his blanket making him look like just a pile of blankets.

He stepped back, pushing back the curtains that hung from the window.  The moonlight peeking into the room, its light reaching all the way to Kokichi.  The tall boy sighed, eyes softening as he pulled away from the window, stepping as quietly as he could to the door.

He stepped out, closing the door behind him softly.  The warm light of the hall lights mixing with the moonlight covered his porcelain face, and those gold-dusted eyes popping out.  Carefully stepping, he stopped in his tracks.  It's been a bit since he went to see Kaede's plant she left.  His brows furrowed thinking of how it might've been left uncared for, possibly Kokichi forgetting to water it.

He wandered to the greenhouse,  the door softly squeaking open.  His gold eyes drifted to the corner where the flower always was.

The healthy plant stood tall and proudly.  Its green leaves glowing in the soft moonlight.  He made a small smile, relief in his eyes.  He stepped over to the plant, a hand softly touching the petals.  Its bright pink colors popping out in the dark-lit room reminding him of Kaede.  His stomach turned at the thought of her limp body that day, her pale face with the smudge blood washing away her faded rosy cheeks she use to have.

A sigh escaped his lips, thinking back to when they first met.

The loud halls, and laughs of other students scribbled in the air.  He wasn't very social then and still isn't really.  During lunch, he found an empty room, a few dusty desks, and chairs in what he assumed to be a storage room.  He usually sat in that lonely room, reading or eating food.  Occasionally watching his favorite show at the time Danganronpa.  It was just another lunch period until he heard the faint melody of a piano behind the door where he assumed no one knew of.

Yet, when he peeked into that room, he saw a pretty blonde sitting, her fingers flawlessly stroking the piano keys.  Her face relaxed and softened, feet pressing softly at the pedals.  Her pink sweater and white skirt and shirt match bringing her bright purple eyes out.

He only stood at that doorway, in awe at the beautiful playing.  She seemed so peaceful. So happy.

So careless.

Then after that, it was a normal encounter.  They began often talking, discussing anything.  Eventually not hanging out in that dusty old room anymore, going out to different places with her other friends.  Them being a few he knew today.  And some he's never seen again.

Shuichi blinked, his vision blurry unknowingly he began to cry.  His tears cold from the soft wind, as his fingers touched the cold tears he smiled softly.  She was gone, gone for good.

He looked to his feet, a bittersweet feeling stabbed his heart.  He wouldn't be able to hear her sweet voice, see her bright smile that could brighten up a room.  But, he knew she was safe at least, in a better place than this hell-called earth with monsters that took her from him.

He wiped away the last remaining tears, turning to the flower with a smile.

"Kokichi! You slept in!"

The purple head yawned, sitting up.  Ibuki stood at the doorway, hand on her hip.  Kokichi nodded tiredly, "Come one before you miss breakfast! Ibuki thinks it'll be gone if you can't get down quick enough~!"  The punk girl sang, her voice being loud enough to fully wake Kokichi up.

"Alright alright... I'm going you already woke me up with your singing..." He groggily replied, slipping off his bed stretching.  Ibuki smiled crossing her arms with a satisfied smile on her lips. She turned, leaving Kokichi in his room.

He yawned stretching, turning to his closet to change.  After he changed his clothes and fixed up his hair, mostly just patting down any loose strands, he stepped out into the hallway.

The sun was already halfway in the sky, its bright light shining through the foggy windows and curtains.  Kokichi walked down the hall, the boards creaking slightly after each step.  He was stuck in thought, hearing the soft voices and buzz of laughter from the other people in the building.

Today seemed to be a good day, He sighed a small smile forming on his face.
