A/N: This is not the last chapter!! It may seem like it but it's not. We are like hallway through the book though I think.

-Luke-

I woke up to another bright morning. I mean, it was dreary and dark outside but when I looked next to me...

No Luke, this is not right. You have a girlfriend Patterson- stop it. Besides, Julie and I hate each other, right? Oh yeah, for sure.

"Luke?" A weepy voice rang. Oh no, was I staring? "Uh- Hi." I said with a small smile. "Oh um thanks by the way for letting me crash here." I added while slowly getting up. "Anytime." She replied. I shot her another one of my famous smiles before leaving the room to go freshen up.

I mean, it's finally Sunday so only one more day. If I am being honest, it's been really fun. I mean staying in an empty school with your enemy and slowly becoming friends through the process was great. Maybe she will finally stop ruining my guitar picks.

I finished showering in the locker room. I put my clothes back on and went to go check on Julie. To my surprise, she was actually up and not sleeping in like usual. "Oh, hey." She said looking up from her book. "Hungry?" I asked her.

She quickly nodded and sprung up running over to me. "Someone's happy, eh?" I said rubbing her shoulder when she caught up to me. "Hmmm, maybe." She replied. We made our way back to the cafeteria.

Julie climbed on the fridge again to look for something for us to eat. We found some water bottles and some old granola bars. It was the best thing there, so we went to go sit down somewhere.

We sat down in the middle of the gym floor. I munched on one of my granola bars and man they were dry. "Any good?" Julie questioned. I made a disgusted face and shook my head. She let out a soft sweet giggle before opening one of hers. "You are so right." She said making the same face.

I opened up my water bottle and took a sip. "Even the water sucks." I said with a slight chuckle. "I mean what do you expect?" She giggled. We sat there, trying to enjoy our disgusting food. I looked up at her and couldn't help but let out another smile.

I saw Julie get a little flustered before returning her gaze to the floor. "Julie I-" I started before we heard a knock from a window. We looked out to see Rose and Ray, my parents, Julie and my friends, and the police? I also saw someone behind the cops- Scarlet.

-Julie-

Luke looked at me and let out a shy smile. I couldn't help but make a wave of red flow across my face. I quickly looked down. Then we heard a knock on the window. I got startled a bit, but then I turned to see me and Luke's parents, our friends, this girl I didn't quite know, and the cops?

I quickly threw my crusty granola bar at the ground and got up. I ran up to the window and saw everyone but the girl and the cops crying. "Luke!" A muffled yell cam from his mom. Luke quickly came up behind me.

I looked at my parents who had a look of relief and tears swarming their faces. Our friends were whooping and celebrating that they found us. The cops opened the gym door with this special key thing. Me and Luke poured out to go out and hug everyone. "MOM! DAD!" I screamed.

Luke's smile grew as he saw his parents. "Mom!! Dad!" He yelled. "Scar?" He said going to hug the other girl. I saw her peck his cheek as they hugged. Carrie and Flynn came up to hug me. "Julie!! What the heck happened?!?!" They questioned.

I couldn't focus. I looked over at Luke and the girl. They were still hugging and giving each other kisses and stuff. 'Ew.' I thought. Luke looked over at me, his smile slowly faded but he returned his attention back to the girl.

Me and Luke explained literally everything. How we got detention, how we got stuck cleaning, our phones dying, and keeping each other company. Luke and I seemed to keep our distance while telling our story. "Woah." Was all everyone could say.

"I am truly sorry kids." The cops said. Turns out they were somehow gonna fire the principal? I don't know but go off I guess.

We parted our separate ways. Luke went with his girlfriend, parents, and friends. I went with my family and friends too. The one thing I left with was, 'Who is that girl?' even though it was pretty obvious who she was.

-Luke-

When I got home, the boys left and me and Scarlet went to my room. She closed the door and went to go hop on my bed. "So, who was she?" Scarlet asked. "You know? The girl I got stuck with." I said walking over to sit by her.

"I know but... you guys seemed to know each other." She said fidgeting with her hands. "You got that right. She was the most stuck up person I knew." I said with a chuckle. "Was?" Scar questioned. "Well, yeah I mean- I kinda got to know her better in the school." I said.

"Luke, I already know you like her." She muttered. Me? Liking Julie? Oh heck no! "Whaaaat?!" I said with a small voice crack. "Luke, don't lie to me. It's okay." She said getting up.

"But I don't like her?" I said getting up with her. "Luke I said it was okay! I was already gonna break up with you anyways." Scarlet said with a giggle. "You what?" I asked in disbelief. She sighed and handed me a note that was written like last Friday.

'Hey Luke, I've had this on my mind for awhile now and I think you deserve to know. I've suddenly lost feelings for you, and it's not your fault. You've been there for me though everything, and helped me through so much! I just don't feel the spark anymore. I don't wanna keep dragging this on when I don't have the same feelings I once had. This may be a little hard, but I hope you understand. I hope you will find someone who can care for you like you did me. You deserve the world Lucas, and I couldn't give it to you. We have had our run, now it's time to depart. Thanks for everything.

-Scarlet'

I looked at the note, then back at her. "Really?" I asked. She nodded slightly. Then I went over everything. Did I like Julie? Is this for the best? Does she actually wanna break up with me?

"Yes Luke, I wanna break up with you." Scarlet said with a giggle. Woah- did she just read my mind? "Yep- I'm a mind reader."

Okay this is getting creepy. I looked out my window and saw Julie talking with her friends. She looked out of hers and smiled. I waved a bit before returning my attention to Scarlet. "Ha! Knew it." Scarlet giggled.

"Listen Scar, I don't really know right now about Julie, but I do feel the same. I am glad we talked over this." I said with a smile. I brought her into a slight hug. "Thanks." She muttered. "Now, let's get down to business." She said with a smile.

*a few seconds later*

"REGGIE?!?!? You mean, my best friend Reggie?!?!" I asked. "What can I say? He's a cutie." Scarlet said with a chuckle. "When did you start liking him?" I asked with a giggle. "Like a month ago?" She said.

"A MONTH?!" I yelled then that was followed by a chuckle. "I cannot believe this!" I said still in my laugh. "Hey, but I still really liked you. AND! That's when I noticed you eyeing that Julie girl." She added.

"But she was in Costa Rica?" I said laying on my bed. "Yeah- Instagram stupid!" She slapped my arm. "OOUCH!" I screamed. "Suck it up princess." She giggled. "Jules calls me that." I muttered with a dooby grin on my face. Scarlet sarcastically scoffed. "Man- you must really like her."

"Do not! I mean, I don't quite know yet." I said. "Anywho- you and Reg would be perfect! I mean, you too have everything in common. Why did we think this would end up well?" I said still grinning about Julie.

"Stop trying to change the subject!!" Scarlet yelled. She grabbed my pillow and started to hit me with it. "HEY!!" I grabbed one of my teddy bears and threw it at her.
