After a few minutes of riding the boat we've entered the river and we're now entering the city scape. We parked our boat on the harbor, and we can't help but notice how vast this city is. It feels like we're at Manhattan New York, and instead of having a crowd of people, no one's here to help us nor ask questions. "This city is expansive!" Sam said, "How are you going to find it? And what are we finding, anyway?"
"We need to find the park that has a giant yellow slide and a huge lamp pose in every corner of the street," I said, "It should be the only one here."
"Okay, then let's start on this alley." Sam replied.
"Good idea. Let's go there and check." I can't believe that Sam died at a very young age. I can't help the fact that I'm powerless in that situation, knowing full well that I can't do anything to prevent that from happening. And if Sam did die back in that park, then who is this Sam that I'm with? I know that I have a lot of questions boggling my head, but I can't help the fact that this might be an impostor. "Why are you quiet all of the sudden?" He asked.
"You know; I was just thinking of something." I replied.
"What are you thinking about? You can tell it to me, brother."
"Who are you?" I asked, "Really?"
"I'm Samuel, your brother. And why are you asking silly questions all of the sudden?"
"Funny because in that memory, I saw you die and I can't help the fact that you might be an impostor trying to get in my way."
"Believe me, I'm your brother."
"Then, tell me who you are. The real you."
"You really want to know the truth?"
"Yes! I want to know everything."
"Okay, remember the night when we were about to go to a restaurant because it's my birthday?"
"Yeah, I remember."
"I was sleeping during that night in the car. I was dreaming that I was deep in the forest, then I just realized that I was trapped in this world and I don't even know how to escape it. Until I got out of my own limbo and started seeing that there are a lot of doors leading to each person's limbo. Then I started finding your own door so that I can contact you from the other side, because I don't even know what to do anymore."
"So you've been trapped here all along?"
"Yes, and you don't know half the nightmares I've been through just to find you." I hugged him tightly and began to cry uncontrollably, "I'm sorry, Sam!" I said, "I'm so powerless that I just stood there and cry without helping you and our parents."
"It's alright brother! There's nothing to feel guilty about. After all, you can't prevent certain things from happening."
"You must be lonely all those years. And I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me most."
"It's okay, brother. Things like this are inevitable." Sam comforts me. "By the say," Sam said. "Your limbo's very vast, I feel like we're walking in a maze of buildings and tall skyscrapers. And I don't recall you design being this too intricate."
"It must have been ruined when Morpheus entered my limbo." I said. "See the sky, the sky is still broken and I can't help but ask why?"
"Who's Morpheus?"
"The demon chasing us."
"I see, let's continue walking." I can't believe that I'm actually with my brother right now. "You know," I said, "I really missed you Sam, I never given up on you."
"I know you do, and we'll never give up. I won't let that demon catch you as long as I'm here." Then the raven that helped us along the way returned, this time he's gotten bigger. Almost a size of a medium sized dog. "Thank you for helping us." I said. "You designed me to help you navigate through your world and that's why I'm here." He replied.
"I see; you must have a name?" I said.
"Sully. Short for Sullivan. I know you erased your memories, but if you're here to come and get it back, then I'm glad to tell you where everything is."
"Okay, Sully." I said, "would you be able to help us find a park that has a big yellow slide in the middle and that park has big black lamp pose in every corner of the street?"
"Oh, you're talking about the Graham park. Just go straight on the Silver street and turn left on the corner of Cameron Avenue then you'll find the Graham park at the bottom of the giant overpass. So we went to where the raven tells us to go. "Thank you, Sully." Sam said.
"No problem! I'll just be a call away when you need me." Then the raven flew away, and it's been 10 minutes but we can't find Cameron Avenue. "Oh there it is." Sam said. Then we went straight to Cameron avenue and saw that the park was below the giant overpass all along.
It looks like a giant park with only one giant yellow slide in the middle, and seats are on a circular pattern on the edge of the slide. Then I can't help but be afraid for the fact that this is exactly where we had an accident in real life. My body shivers as if I saw Morpheus for the second time, but this time the ghost that haunts me is the ghost of my past. "What's wrong brother?" Sam asked. "This is where you, mom and dad died." I said.
"I get it, it's all in the past." Sam replied. "You have to fight it brother, there's nothing that you can do to prevent accidents from happening." He's right, I get back on my feet and search for clues as to where I hid my memory. We split again and search for clues, I went to the slide but nothing's there. I went to the chairs, tried to look underneath and beneath it but still nothing. Then a few minutes later, Sam found something on the lamp post. It was hidden inside the lamp pose. He saw a letter with a note in it. I checked and saw a note saying; read out loud. Sam tried to read it, and it says: Los recuerdos de pasado volveran a su dueño. "It's written in Spanish." I told him. It means Memories of the past shall return to its owner. I read it as loud as I normally do, then the pen marks on the paper began to shine so bright that it illuminated my eyes. Then I remember everything as clear as day.
