Daren's POV
August 18th, 2034
"The hell are these things?!" Sean said while cutting through Androids.
That's Sean, Sean Stewart. Daren's half-brother also known as Uriel. Daren says that he regrets bringing him into Team Inferno but then he's always glad he did.
"A parting gift from Bruce Wayne. We need to fall back. I'm useless out here and I don't want to leave you in the field"
"Inferno go! I'll hold them off"
"Uriel I just told you I'm not leaving you!" Suddenly a burst of wind hit us and a pile of androids in front of us.
"You guys talk too much"
And that is Morgan. Morgan West. She's the daughter of Wally West and Jesse Wells. She, just like her parents, is a speedster, which Daren finds quite annoying.
"We don't talk that much, do we?" Sean asks
"Well, remember last September in Star City?"
"You promised not to bring that up again!"
"You know Liberty, you also kind of talk a lot too" We hear through comms.
And finally that is Daniel Smith. Out in the field he is known as Blaze.
"You remember that I'm a speedster right Smith?" She says
"Obviously. It's what makes you super annoying"
"Good, because I can mess with you when ever I want"
"That's enough you two. Let's get back to base"
Back at the compound
"Daren. What were those things?" Morgan asks
"Those's were Androids developed by Wayne Technologies. Earlier this year when I went to Central City to help the Young Justice, we were attacked by them. They have the ability to detect Meta-Humans as well"
"Are you saying..." Daniel starts to say
"Yes. They could compromise you and Morgan, that's why you two are probably safer here than out in the City"
With that revelation, the room goes silent.
"I... uhh... guess I'll bring one of the Androids heads to Garcia" Sean awkwardly says. He grabs one of the salvaged heads we picked up and exits the compound.
"Hopefully, Mr. Garcia will find a way to counteract these sensors" I start to walk out of the compound but Daniel stops me.
"Daren, we all should remain underground, just for the time being anyways"
"And let these androids and Neal destroy our city? Not going to happen"
"Daren! Just until these android get off our tails, that's is"
"Fine, when Mr. Garcia finished analyzing the sensors then we'll all stay put here"
Nora's POV
September 5th, 2034
Unfortunately Daren never gave any information about the whereabouts of his and Team Inferno's Compound however I have picked up a couple of things from my Dad.
It was in the middle of the night when the proximity alarms started going off. "The hell... Daniel! Did the androids find us?" Daren yell
"Relax! It's Nora"
"How the hell did she find us? I never informed the League about the compound"
"You know my dad was a forensic scientist, right? He taught me a few things" I said
"Well Nora, what can we help you with at two in the morning?" Daren asks
"I need some help"
"What type of help?"
"The type of help where I need a few more people"
"Absolutely not, I'm sorry Nora but I need everyone here to help fight Kevin Neal"
"I'll only need their help until we've taken down the Red Death or we find August. After that, the team will be disbanded"
"Daren we'll help her, at least for the time being" Morgan says
"Daren I had some ideas for new recruits anyways" Daniel says
"Fine, go and good hunting"
"Same to you" We turn to walk out.
"So where are we heading?" Morgan asks
"Star City, we have one more recruit to pick up"
Verdant, Star City
"Last we saw of her she was being taken by some Wayne Tech androids downtown" I inform Sean and Morgan.
"I'm still running a search algorithm to determine where they could have taken her but in the meantime I would suggest searching the area where she was kidnapped" William says
"Not a bad idea. Sean stay here. Get acquainted with the team. Morgan your with me. Oh, everyone be prepare to get out there if we find anything" Morgan and I exit Verdant and speed over to where Moira was kidnapped. "Morgan check the surrounding buildings. See if you can find anything"
"What about you?" She asks
"I'll search around here, see if anything my Dad taught me was worth it" Morgan takes off and I start my investigation in the general area. I start to look at the road to see if anything could help. Unfortunately, I came up empty handed so I started to look elsewhere. I looked on the sidewalks and in alleyways until I found something. A note with a simply set of coordinates.
"Morgan I found something" I said into the comms.
"What is it?" She asks
"A note. With a set of coordinates. We should probably bring this back to Will and see what he can get out of it" We run straight back to Verdant and I hand the note the William.
"It looks like the coordinates on this note leads to an abandoned warehouse on the docks" William says
"Okay, everyone suit up!" I yell
"Nora, I'm not getting a good feeling from this. It's most likely a trap. I don't need to remind you to be careful I hope"
"Will, we'll be fine" We head over to the warehouse and sneak in. Whoever left that note knew we would be looking for Moira and where to find her. We found her bound to a torture chamber. We release her but find ourselves surrounded by androids and Thanatos Guild members. We fight them off and escape however Sean took an arrow in his shoulder.
Back at Verdant
"I've taken a bullet before while fighting Kevin Neal's gang but an arrow, I think it's worse" Sean says
"Just hold still and it will hurt less" I say "Now, there's two ways of doing this, do you want option one or option two"
"Well..." I rip the arrow out of his shoulder "Ahhh!" He screams.
"They say it hurts less if it's a surprise" I say
"Well at least it's out. How's Moira doing?" Sean asks
"Much better than she was. I think she should be waking up anytime now" I say. A few moments pass and Moira slowly wakes but immediately jumps to her feet.
"Who are you people?" She yells
"Easy Moira. We're not going to hurt you" I say
"Moira do you remember me?" William asks "I'm your cousin Will"
"Yes, it's coming back to me" Moira drops her defensive stance.
"How did I get here? Last thing I remember is fighting some robots and then waking up here"
"We found you being tortured by the Thanatos Guild who seem to be back in Star City and are being aided by Bruce Wayne" I inform her
"Bruce Wayne? Why would he be helping the Thanatos Guild?" She asks
"He's changed, for the worse" William says
"But we need your help to stop him" I say
"Give me a moment to collect my thoughts" She says and sits down.
