Chapter 11: New Young Justice

A/N: This is the few chapters to A New Dawn but the ending I have left an opening for further chapter if I decide to come back and write more. Also I quickly want to say that any text that are in italic font, anything like this, are in Nora's perspective even if the POV is of someone else.

"William!" Zoe yelled
"Leave me alone" He yelled while attempting to get away.
"You know I can just run and grab him right" I tell Zoe
"I got this Nora"
"Will! It's me" She proceeds to remove her mask "It's me, Zoe"
He stops and turns to face us. "Zoe? Since when were you a mask?"
"For a while now and we need to do become one, well kind of. Will, we need your help"

September 4th, 2034

"How long do you think John will keep you off Young Justice?" Francine asks
"Until Mia and I reconcile, which by the way won't happen, in fact between you and me I have been gathering some people and I am going to be creating my own team to finally track down August and rescue him"
"Who's going to be on this 'New Young Justice'?"
"Well so far it's only William Queen, Zoe Ramirez, myself and, Josh surprisingly"
"You found Josh?"
"Yeah. Him and Ralph have been trying to track down his mother. Ralph told Josh to come and help me and I think Ralph is still looking for her"
"Well I hope he finds her. Josh was devastated when his mother disappeared"
"Yeah I hope he does too"
"So the four of you are going to try and fight the Red Death? I think you're going to need more people"
"That's why I've had William these past couple weeks, trying to find potential candidates" Suddenly my phone starts to buzz.
"Speaking of William" I pick up "Hey William what's up?"
"I don't like relaying information over the phone so meet me here"
"Got it, be there soon. Got to go, I think he has found those candidates" I speed over to the old Arrowcave.
"So I'm assuming that you have found some people"
"Yes I've found a few. The first is Sean Steward, Daren Pierre's brother. He goes by the name Uriel. He uses one of Daren's old suits that he has modified to be used in conjunction with a modified Wakizashi, an ancient Japanese sword"
"I don't know. I think he should be working with his brother rather than us"
"The second is Morgan West. Daughter of Wally West and Jesse Wells. She goes by the name Liberty Belle. She's a speedster just like yourself"
"Maybe. Having another speedster could be helpful"
"The final one is Moira Harper. Daughter of Roy Harper and Thea Queen. She has been trained by her mother and the former leader of the League of Assassins, Nyssa Al Ghul"
"Do you have a location on their whereabouts?"
"Stewart and West are in Coast City currently aiding Daren Pierre on tracking down Kevin Neal. Last time they were spotted was on August 18th when they were investigating a lead when they were attacked by Wayne Tech Androids. They haven't been seen since"
"What about Harper?"
"Harper was last seen here in Star City, however that was a couple months ago. With her League training, if she wanted to avoid being tracked she could do it easily. Wait... I just picked something up" William pulls up CCTV footage. It's Moira being taking by some Wayne Tech Androids.
"Track them and call the team. Tell them to get here now"

A few hours later

"Nora what is it?" Josh asks
"A couple hours ago we picked up Moira Harper being taken by Wayne Tech Androids in Central City"
"Do we know where they took her?" Zoe asks
"William is currently attempting to locate them"
"I found them!" William yelled
"Where are they?"
"Here"
"What do you mean here?"
"I mean. They're on top of us right now, Geologically speaking"
"What does that mean?" Josh asks
"I means we've been made" The elevator doors open revealing Androids behind it. They start to fire at us.
"We need to leave" I said
"What?! No we need to fight" Zoe said
"Then what? More come? Zoe we have been made. Bruce knows we are working from here. The best solution is to evacuate and set an EM Pulse"
"Fine"
"Now do either one of you know a secret exit to this place?"
"There's the air vents that run underneath the bunker" William suggests
"How do we get to them?" I ask
"Over there!" William points towards a door on the other side of the room "That room leads to the vents"
"Everyone, hold on" I grabbed everyone, and ran us into the room. "William where do we go from here?"
He walks over to a wall panel and removes it. "In through here."
We jump into the vents and set of an EMP which fries everything. "Great now we can't see" Josh says
"Hang on. I'm going to try something" I start running and start creating a lightning bolt. I throw it at a near by console and power comes back online.
"That shouldn't even be possible" William says "You can't repair technology that has been hit by an EMP by restarting its power"
"Maybe let's get out of here. This way might lead to the sewers and from there, the city" We make our way to another opening and it leads into the sewers.
"Everyone alright?" I ask
"Yeah... wait" Zoe process to puke "Ugh... the smell"
"I agree. Let's get out of here" I grabbed everyone again and run us back up to the city
"Great. Now what are we going to do? We can't go back to the bunker so where do we go?" Zoe yells
"I might have an idea, assuming it's still there" We took a trip down back down to the glades to an old abandoned nightclub.
"Verdant? Why here? Wasn't it abandoned almost two decades ago?" I ask
"It's not the building I'm thinking of, it's what's underneath" William responds. He looks around for a while until he stops. "Ah, there it is" He presses a button and a secret door opens up. In there we find a staircase and we head down it.
"Let's see if it's still down here" William flips a switch and lights turn on revealing an old armory.
"Yes! It's still here, sort of"
"William. Where are we?" Josh asks
"This place is called the lair, or was it the Foundry. It was the first place my father built as the hood"
"So this is where it started. I've heard so many stories about your father and I've always wondered where it started" I said
"Dig, Mom, and Dad. They started all of this, right here. Now, you guys start repairing the place while I ask my mother to give us the building" William yells while walking back upstairs.
"Nora, Josh and I will set up this place. Go find Moira and the new recruits" Zoe says
"Any ideas where I can find Harper?"
"Maybe try looking around the initial place where she was taking. They probably left some clues lying around"
"And Stewart and Wells?"
"Same thing. Look at their last location"
