Chapter 22

Mohit's POV

I told them how I took Srusti to my home. And how I proposed to her and she accepted.

" Wow !! I am happy that you did ask her and we got such a good girl as our daughter-in-law. She must be caring a lot for you to wait till 4 AM to serve you food and ask about your family. "  Daadi said.

" Aree daadi, Mohit was telling me that she already scolds him for not eating proper meals or not taking proper rest. " Maya said laughing. I glared at her. But it has never bothered her to date.

" I am so happy that she cares for you so much. You need exactly this kind of girl only. Now go and get her stuff from your penthouse. "

" Why?? "

" She would be staying with us now... " Daadi said.

" What !! Why?? "

" Why ?? Because I am saying so, till you both get married, she will stay with us. You can't live in the same house just before your wedding. In fact, you should not even see her. I won't be that strict. But she would stay with you only after your wedding. " Dadi said.

"  Hey girlfriend, are you jealous of her?? I love you more, I swear... "

" Say whatever you want, my decision is final. "

" But it is not fair... "

" That's the way it has to be... Srusti beta, I hope you don't have a problem living with us?? " Mom asked her and she looked at me. I signalled her to deny it but she smiled and shook her head.

" What ?? That is wrong...  What would I do?? I would die without...  "

" Do your work... what were you doing 3-4 days back?? Desperate much?? Can't live without her for a few days??  " Maya said grinning at me and Srusti's face turned almost red.

She was a different kind of girl.   There was something about her, which made her different. Maybe because she was very innocent and shy. She was like a breath of fresh air.

" What ?? No !!  I... mean, she cooks awesome food... I would die... Without food. " I said looking at her.

" Oh !! So you were talking about food... You can come and have food with us. " Daadi said winking at me.

" But... "

" No, but... Now go and get her stuff. And Maya, just go with her and get the best wedding lehenga and dresses from his collection. You have to do all the shopping with her. Rama, you call our jewellers and tell him to get his best designs. I want everything to be the best for our daughter-in-law. "  Daadi said.

" I will get the dresses for her... You both can get other things. " I said.

" Let her select her lehenga and other dresses. "

" I have everything online, see the pictures, select all those you want, I will get it in her size. " I said and Maya nodded.

" Ok done, show me the pics. Now go and get her stuff. I will send you the pictures of dresses for all occasions,  send all of them at home. Srusti, we will go for accessories... bags, shoes, makeup etc. " Maya said to her and she looked at me. She looked a bit uncomfortable.

" What happened beta?? " Mom asked.

" I don't need so many things. It is just a simple wedding. "

" Wedding is weddings, beta. They happen only once. Even if we are keeping it very simple, still it is your wedding. You both would be united with each other for the rest of your life. In fact, as per our beliefs, you would be united with each other for your next 7 lives. So it is a very important day. " Daadi said.
