"Are you sure coming back was a good idea?" Tyler Lockwood asked Hayley Marshall as the two of them unpacked boxes.
"When Delilah gets older, she will have questions that I won't be able to answer. The Salvatore School will be able to help her control her witch side." Hayley said as she set the empty box by the front door.
"Mystic Falls is where you and Klaus met, and it's also where you and him-"
"I know." Hayley interrupted him. "I doubt The Mikaelsons set foot here...they practically own New Orleans now," Hayley said.
"But if they do?" Caroline pipes up as she walks into the living room. "Klaus funded the Salvatore school. What if he decides to pop up one day?" Caroline asked.
"I feel like maybe you should just tell him about Delilah while she is still a baby." Caroline sighed. "He doesn't like secrets."
"And have My baby grown up knowing that she is the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson?" Hayley asked sarcastically
"And then she finds out later in life and then resents you for not telling her sooner." Caroline rambles.
"Caroline," Tyler ran a hand over his face. "We need to respect Hayley's decision."
Caroline glared at Tyler before sighing. "Fine." She threw her hands up in a dramatic fashion before walking outside to grab another box
Delilah's tiny cries filled the air before Hayley set down the throw pillows in her hand and walked upstairs.
Hayley grabbed Delilah out of her crib and gave her a brief kiss on the head.
"Did you have a good nap?" Hayley asked in a soft tone. The sound of Delilah cooing filled the air as a smile appeared on the baby's face.
Hayley walked downstairs with Delilah in her arms before stepping into the living room, where Caroline and Tyler sat.
"Ooh, Gimme!" Caroline grinned as she scooped Delilah out of Hayley's arms.
"I'm a sucker for blue eyes." Caroline chuckled. "And you have the prettiest eyes!" Caroline cooed.
Hayley smiled at the sight of Delilah cooing at Caroline.
"She is the spitting image of Klaus." Tyler shook his head. "It's the blue eyes." Caroline and Hayley said in unison.
"Just wait until she hits the teenager years, where she gets very opinionated and wild." Caroline chuckled.
"Oh, I'm definitely looking forward to that." Hayley laughed lightly.
"A female version of Klaus." Caroline sighed. "Let's hope she doesn't develop his temper," Hayley says sarcastically.
