"So I take it that things are going well for you and your dad's family?" Daphne smiled softly
"Really well...it's going so well that I am waiting for the other shoe to drop." Delilah faintly smiled "How do you mean?" Daphne questioned
"It just feels too good to be true." Delilah sighed "I am happy but I lay in bed every night thinking that one day someone somewhere is gonna try to hurt me or my family. I know my dad's past he has hurt and killed so many people and what if one day they decide to fight back?" Delilah frowned
"I think that is a perfectly rational fear but I also think that maybe instead of waiting for bad things to happen perhaps you should just enjoy the present. I know it's not easy trying to just let go but holding on to that fear will only lead to a life of anxiety and constantly being on edge." Daphne tried to console Delilah
"How do I let go? How do I let my guard down and just live life?" Delilah asked
"Why don't you start by opening up to your parents about how you feel? Let them be there for you. And take all that anxiety you have and channel it into something you love doing like painting or playing soccer. Find something that you love and do it." Daphne smiled
"Thank you." Delilah shot her a smile.
Daphne and Delilah also talked about other things like her grades and how school was going. The session almost lasted two hours until The door suddenly flew open and there stood Oliver with a worried look on his face.
Delilah and Daphne both stood up startled by the sound
"Excuse me but I am in the middle of a session," Daphne said in an authoritative tone "I'm sorry, Daph. It can't wait." Delilah shot Oliver a confused glance at the nickname seeing as Oliver was still fairly new to the school she didn't think the two of them would even be on a nickname basis...hell she wasn't even on a nickname basis with Daphne and Delilah had been having sessions with her since she was little
"I can go." Delilah gave Daphne a tight-lipped smile. "I am supposed to meet my friends for lunch anyway." Daphne gave the girl an apologetic look before they said their goodbyes and parted ways.
Delilah turned to say something to Daphne but Oliver had already shut the door. Delilah frowned and stood there for a moment before walking off
And in Daphne's office, Oliver was pacing back and forth as Daphne stood there with a cold look on her face.
"I don't know if I can do this anymore," Oliver stressed "Getting cold feet?" Daphne taunted the boy "Or are you falling for Delilah?" Daphne said with venom laced in her tone
"No!" Oliver said to Daphne "I just think that we leave Delilah and her family alone. Klaus has changed I can see it." Oliver replied
"Monsters don't change," Daphne remarked "Do not be fooled by his act, Oliver. He is still the same monster that murdered our parents. And so it's only fair we take away the only thing that matters to him." Daphne smirked

"Hey guys sorry I'm late!" Delilah rushed to the lunch table before settling in her seat. "My session with Daphne ran over" She brushed some hair out of her face before stealing a fry off of Ethan's lunch plate.
"Ew these are cold," Delilah said in disgust as she took a sip of her water. "So we were all talking" Layla smiled "And since Thanksgiving break is coming up We should go stay at The Cabin." Delilah nodded enthusiastically "You know do fun cold weather activities like campfires and smores..." Gia piped in
"Who's all going?" Delilah asked
"Lizzie, Josie, Ethan, Gia, And You." Layla grinned "And maybe you can invite Oliver " Gia smirked
"I don't know guys...My mom and dad are finally letting me have a bit of freedom and I do not want to ruin that by inviting the guy who Alaric caught me kissing. Plus things have been really weird between us. " Delilah frowned
"What do you mean?" Ethan asked, "He's just been avoiding me...so much so that he asked to switch lab partners with me today in class." Ethan frowned at his friend
"I don't think we would've ever worked anyway...After We kissed I immediately felt weirded out...like maybe we should just be friends" Lizzie walked up to the table and took a seat beside Delilah
"So in that case mind putting in a good word for me?" The blonde smirked as everyone around her laughed "Sure" Delilah shrugged laughing
Once lunch was over Delilah headed straight for her next class which was science and when she walked in the last person she expected to see was Oliver sitting at her table. She shared that table with her lab partner who she had yet to see.
"Uhh...Apparently your partner is sick so the teacher placed me with you." Oliver scratched the back of his head nervously. "I hope that's okay." He added "Why wouldn't it be?" Delilah questioned as she set her bag down before taking a seat.
While the students waited for class to start Delilah and Oliver made small talk.
"So what's the deal with you and Daphne?" Delilah asked Oliver felt his stomach drop assuming the worst. "What do you mean?" He asked
"You called her Daph...I find that very weird considering you're a student and she is a teacher." Delilah quirked a brow at him
"It's not like that. I promise! It's just...she told me to call her that. To make me feel more comfortable around her. I uh- have a hard time opening up." Oliver explained to which Delilah nodded before turning to face the front.
Delilah still found it weird. She couldn't shake the feeling that Oliver just wasn't telling the whole truth.

The last time Delilah stepped onto a soccer field was the time she had beat up one of the opposing teams member. She still practiced occasionally but now that soccer season was back in full swing Delilah signed up for tryouts.
And it was no surprise when she made the team considering Soccer was sport she had played since she was 10 years old.
Delilah was currently sitting on the bottom bleacher tying her cleats up. It was the first practice with the new team.
Delilah, Lizzie were returning members while Kaleb and Gia were new but had past experience with soccer.
A cool breeze blew through Delilah's Messy Ponytail as she and Kaleb kicked the soccer ball back and forth while waiting for everyone else.
"No fights this season." Alaric announced walking onto the field. "Yes Coach." Delilah replied sarcastically as she kicked the ball forcefully to Kaleb.
"Who's ready to kick some Mystic Falls High School Ass?" Gia smirked Alaric shot her sharp look and Gia just rolled her eyes at him.

I am SO SO SO SORRY for the huge delay in updating! I honestly lost interest in writing but I DO want to complete this story because as a reader I can understand how aggravating it is to find a story you love/like only for it to be discontinued or incomplete.
I have some prewritten chapters ready so i will post those and then things may slow down until i can actually sit down and write.
I have a M-F Job and when I am not working I am most likely out of town for other obligations.
Writing is not my first priority and I hope you guys understand that
