Delilah jogged down the stairs as she noticed students taking their seats and getting ready for morning announcements.
"Delilah!" The tribrid heard her name. She turned to see her other best friends, Layla and Ethan, sitting together. "How was detention?" Delilah asked them as she took a seat in between them. "It was awesome!" Ethan exclaimed before his face morphed into a dull look. "If you call writing lines fun." Layla snorted.
"Serves you two right for ganging up on Jed." Penelope piped up from behind them.
"But of course, you wouldn't have had the guts to do it without Layla right by your side, Ethan," Penelope smirked.Ethan looked down in embarrassment, knowing it was true. Layla remained to look ahead, trying to avoid ripping Penelope a new one.
But if you are wondering. No, Delilah didn't stay quiet. She did something about it.
"Not that it's any of your business, witch." Delilah started. "Jed had it coming, Penny." Delilah turned around in her seat. "He's lucky I wasn't there, or he would've gotten more than just a bruise." Penelope scoffed before going back to talking to her friends.
"Good morning, students!" Caroline's chirpy voice boomed through the microphone. "I want to first start by saying The List of who made the soccer and football team will be posted after 2nd period." Caroline looked down at a sheet of paper.
"With that being said. Our first soccer game of the season will take place Friday at 2 pm. The football game is to follow Friday night. We will have an off-ground weekend which means if you have a family, you will be allowed to leave for the weekend. We will need a parent or guardian's signature to ensure you will be in the care of a responsible adult." Delilah
smiled at the thought of spending the weekend with her mom."If you don't have family or don't want to leave campus, that is perfectly fine as well. We will still have staff on duty to look after students." Caroline smiled.
"We hope everyone has a great Tuesday!" Caroline cheered.

"We should just ditch." Layla groaned as she and Delilah walked to their next class.
"We shouldn't." Delilah hums lightly. "I care about school, unlike you," Delilah said. "And you should too."
"Okay, Hermione granger." Layla Jokes. "Hey! Hermione Granger is a bad bitch, and I would give anything to be her in a second!" Delilah jokes.
"Marshall!" Alaric's voice booms from down the hallway. Delilah stops as Layla lets out a snicker.
"Someone is in trouble," Layla said. "I'll catch ya later."Delilah turns to see Alaric standing there. "I need your help." Delilah walks toward him. "What's up, Dr. S?" Delilah asked.
"We have one of our sponsors arriving today, and I need your help showing them around the place,"
Alaric said.Delilah groaned. "why can't Lizzie or Jo do it? I have things to do." She asked.
"Because I want you to do it."
Alaric said."Whatever." Delilah rolled her eyes. "When is this taking place?" She asked.
"Tomorrow morning. It will be the entire day." Delilah let out another groan.
"But tours don't normally take the entire day." She raised an eyebrow. "Yes, but this sponsor is different and well-known." Alaric nodded.
"Well known how?"
"Do you remember that part in the book written by Stefan Salvatore?" Alaric asked. "Which part? There were like a million." Delilah questioned.
"The part where Elena Gilbert has a 1,000-year-old vampire coming after her," Alaric said.
"Are you talking about the originals?" Delilah asked.
"But I thought they'd be dead by now." She snorted."They are not...which doesn't surprise me," Alaric said. "And bonus, they don't have any young kids, which means you don't have to impress any of them with your magic tricks."
"Oh right, because Vampires can't procreate." Delilah nodded. Alaric chuckled nervously. "Right."
"Why did you just suddenly get so nervous?" Delilah gave him a weird look.
"Uh- I-It's nothing. But anyway, I know how highly Caroline talks about you and your amazing tours, so I decided, why not let Delilah host the people who practically paid for this school with you?" Alaric said.
"Is it gonna be just me?" Delilah asked. "Because I am a student here. If you didn't know and homework is a thing despite living here on school grounds." Delilah joked.
"I will let all your teachers know that you have the day off with no homework, and no, you will not be by yourself because Ethan will be with you. Caroline took a last-minute trip to New York, so I am entrusting you with it."
Alaric said. "Can I trust you and Ethan not to screw it up?" He asked."You can trust me, but I'm not sure about Ethan. He's kinda dumb." Delilah snorted.
"Okay then...Well I will
probably pop in sometime during the day and pull them away for paperwork, and then after that, it's all up to you." Alaric said."This is going to be so much fun." Delilah faked enthusiasm.
"That's the spirit!" Alaric cheered before walking away.
