Joanna, Joffrey and the rest of the royal children were taken to a hall where the feast was being held. There was a dark wooden table where the Queen and the wardens of the north sat. Robert, on the other hand, was sitting at another table with the rest of the noblemen, though Joanna saw practically no difference between them and the commoners in King's Landing. The princess sat next to her mother despite having been assigned a seat at the "children's table! next to Robb and Sansa. Catelyn Stark and her mother made small talk as they first tried to look away from the King, who was kissing a waitress. They were interrupted by Sansa approaching the table, she bowed her head and the Queen spoke.
"Hello, little dove. But you are a beauty. How old are you?"
"13, your Grace." She replied proudly.
"You are tall. Still growing?"
"I think so, your Grace."
"Have you bled yet?" With that question, Sansa's smile faded and Joanna grinned. After looking at her mother, Sansa answered that she had not and Cersei asked about her dress.
Joanna's POV
What amazing conversational skills, mother. You change as much of subject as you do of hairstyle. It took me all my will to not laugh at that little wench's face with mother's question. It seems that Lady Stark saw me because she then said.
"My princess, you are a beauty too, have you bled yet?" I looked at her confused, how dare she ask me that? Who does she think she is? Even at my young age, I am more powerful than she will ever be.
"Yes, my Lady. I had my moonblood four moons ago." I answered, my mother looked at me with pride, I always knew what to say. I had not bled yet but she did not have to know. I have always been good at using the truth to lie. I like to think I get that from my mother, seeing that father can't even tell someone 'you look nice' without revealing he is lying.
My father stood up from his place and rose his goblet to make a cheer, seeing how drunk he was, I expected anything but coherent words coming out of his mouth and, when he spoke, I realised that, once again, I was right.
He wished Robb luck because "poor, little, innocent Joanna here is just like her mother and both can be a royal pain in the ass", how nice of him. After ignoring Robert's comments and Lord Stark's pity looks, I stood up and went to speak to uncle Jaime, something I knew mother would love to do if she could, but she was trapped by a rather chatty Lady Stark.
"Hello, dear uncle." She greeted as she met with the knight in the shining armour that was guarding the door.
"Hello Jojo, what are you doing here and not dancing with your dear betrothed?" He said, sarcasm dripping in every word.
"He hasn't offered, not that I would want to anyway."
"Too bad he is coming here now. Isn't it?" He said smugly with a grin playing on his lips. As if on cue, I turned and saw Robb walking towards me stumbling every five steps. He had been drinking, probably more than he was accustomed to, and I had seen it, not that you could have caught me staring.
"My Lady, I mean, my princess, will you do the honour of dancing with me?" He mumbled almost incoherently, if I hadn't known what he had come to I wouldn't have guessed what he was trying to say. I looked around the room and saw Joffrey with Sansa, she was talking non-stop and he rested his perfect jaw on his soft hands not listening to her. The girl did not seem to notice hence she kept explaining to him things I knew for sure were related to how perfect in her eyes he is. Don't get me wrong, I love Joffrey, with all my heart, but I can see his flaws, I know what he can be like and I can control his temper. That little whiny girl wouldn't put up with him for a day.
