Once Jon stepped foot on the blood-soaked ground, he went to find Daenerys. He still couldn't believe the scene that had just developed in front of his eyes. He understood to a point what she had done and why, what he didn't understand was why every woman he seemed to love died. Ygritte, his mother, his sisters had left for a while and now Joanna. He truly thought they would end up together but, apparently, the gods had other plans.

He found her in a counsel meeting with Lord Tyrion, Missandei, Davos, Sansa and a few others. As they heard the sound of his heavy boots stomp on the floor they stopped talking and looked at him. Without a word, Jon let the note Joanna had written on the table in front of Daenerys, who had a quite mad face on.

"Where is Joanna?" Tyrion questioned while the dragon queen read the letter. Jon couldn't muster a word so he pointed to the now crumbled paper that Daenerys had crushed. Tyrion took the paper from her hands and read it, tears filling his eyes. His niece was dead, the only family he had left. He then proceeded to rad the paper aloud, making the members of the table gasp.

"No, that is not going to happen. She died now I take the Throne." Dany quickly intervened interrupting the murmuring that had began in the room as soon as Tyrion finished reading. All eyes turned to her.

"Why don't we vote?" Sam proposed. "Why don't we let the people choose?" The Lords from the counsel laughed at the idea.

"NO!" Daenerys hit the table with her fist, throwing a few cups full of wine in the process. "It is my throne! It is mine by blood."

"Actually, it belongs to Jon." Bran, who Jon hadn't noticed until now, spoke. He began telling them about Rhaegar and Lyanna, how they had Jon and how Eddard kept the secret until his death.

"That's a lie! You just want the Throne for yourself. How can we know Joanna truly did write that letter? Or how can Bran know if he himself said Eddard  Stark took the secret to the grave?" Daenerys kept her posture while she was fuming on the inside. She glared at Bran and then at Jon, who still hadn't spoken.

"I do believe it, my Lady." Tyrion spoke first. My might have done terrible things, but why would she lie about something like this? She knew she was going to die when she wrote this, right?" He looked at Jon.

"Yes." He said solemnly.

"She has no descendants and her parents are now dead, I saw them on my way here and told a guard to burn them with the rest. Then, why would she create this lie so that Jon could rule? She doesn't have anything left here." Some Lords nodded in agreement while others simply refused the thought.

"I deserve the Throne, you have no claim to it. And, even if what that sibling-fucker said is true, you don't want the Throne, right Jon?" She had a hopeful madness in her eyes.

"I don't."

"It's who doesn't want the power the one who should hold it." Bran interrupted before Daenerys got into conclusions that she had free way to the Throne.

"Then I will fight with Fire and Blood against you, Jon Snow." She threatened.

"I truly do not want to start a fight Daenerys but, if that is what you want, you will get it. Just, one condition, the people will not be involved. Just the soldiers who are willing to fight. Let's not kill innocent children."

And they did, they fought with all their might. Hundreds of deaths in both sides only on the first night.  The war went on and on, until only one stood standing, the true heir of the Throne.

A few moons later...

"We can change your name to Aegon Targaryen, if you wish." Bran tried convincing Jon again for the thousandth time.

"No, Jon Snow is my name. The one my father, Eddard Stark, chose for me. It is who I am, Bran. I can't change that." He understood that many of the Lords weren't happy with having a bastard on the Throne, but the folk were happy. He knew Bran only wanted the help him gain the most powerful men's approval, but not everything was about that. The most important aspect for him was that his people were safe. He had promised himself he wouldn't become like the rest of the kings before him, that a new era would begin. One where the people would choose who would rule. Man or Woman. No matter the kingdom they came from.

A maid guided to the Sept where the coronation ceremony would take place. She had blond hair that resembled Joanna's, the facial structures where similar and even their height was about the same, from what Jon could remember. He looked into her eyes and they were a soft brown, he sighed, he had yet to see someone with Joanna's eyes other than her.

Those ocean eyes.

He snapped out of his trance and thanked her for accompanying him. She curtsied and left as a blushing mess.

He took a deep breath and opened the doors that would lead to a new beginning.

"And the Emmy goes to... Addison Clarke for Game of Thrones!" Gwyneth Paltrow finally announced.

Addison stood up and left towards the stage, not before kissing her husband's lips softly. She couldn't believe this. She was 18 when she had began this show with, back then strangers, now her family. After nearly tripping on her way, she finally got up the stair. Damn those hills!

"Thank you, thank you, thank you. Really, thank you. There really isn't anything else I can think of saying. I didn't think I even stood the chance of winning with the outstanding performances of my fellow nominees so I didn't prepare a speech." The audience laughed and she let out a nervous laugh. "But, I just wanted to thank everyone it this production, from Lena and Nikolaj who let me stay in their spare room for the whole first season, to Mary who has been bringing me my favourite tea every morning on set. Game of Thrones has changed my life, not only as an actress but because I met my husband there, right Kit?" He sent her a kiss, his eyes glossy and so were hers. She caressed her seven-month-old baby bump, she couldn't believe everything that had happened to her in the past eight years, what began as a joke with her friends as 'why not audition to have a laugh', ended up here, on the Emmy's stage. "So, thank you, that is the only thing I can think of saying."

She descended the stair and was engulfed into a big hug by Lena and Nikolaj (Cersei and Jaime), who had been more parents to her than her actual ones. She remembers when they got together secretly and she, Sophie and Maisie caught them making out. She hugged Peter and Emilia, Sean, Michelle, Isaac, Gwendoline, Sophie and Maisie before heading back to Kit.

"I love you." He whispered in her ear as he embraced her.

"I love you too." She whispered back. Maybe Joanna and Jon hadn't ended up together, but she was lucky to have found Kit. And all of that, thanks to Game of Thrones.
