My grandad gave me once a book
Where everything was black&white.
I shot him a bewildered look
Because for me it wasn't right.

On every page there was a prince
Who held a hand of his princess
But in her eyes I saw no glints
Nor a grandeur in a plain dress.

I looked away and had a grouch.
My grandpa laughed and rubbed his hands.
He put one arm into his pouch
And took a bunch of coloring pens.

I ran into our garden glade
And laid all pencils in a range
"Let's draw a fancy masquerade
Few strokes in here...I see the change"

The blue will go for prince's suit
And his eye color will be green
The black will adorn his high boots
And now let's beautify his queen.

Pink for the dress, and brown for eyes
Her hair's now shiny like pure silk
It's marvelous how a few dyes
Can wash the sadness in a blink

One single thought creates a brook
Where all ideas come alive.
It's not an ordinary book
It is a book you can revive.
