Prompt: Dream Scenario
Ship: Plasma (Kai x Jay)

"Nya?" Kai calls out, his feet sinking into the sand, "Nya?!"
His eyes leak when he sees her. His legs collapse underneath him, forcing his body onto the floor. Stumbling over, he falls onto his knees beside her, his entire body shaking. Shakily raising his fingers to her neck, he checks her pulse.
Nothing.
Kai's body shakes with sobs. His baby sister. His little sister who he's protected himself from his entire life is dead. Just like that.
Kai's heart shattering sobs fill the air.
Kai bolts up, gasping for air, his whole body shaking. Drawing his knees up to his chest, Kai buries his head into them, shaking with silent cries. Cries for her. Cries for Jay. Kai needs him. And he needs him now.
Kai's cries slowly begin to get louder and louder, begging for Jay to come and comfort him. Footsteps sound from outside the door, making Kai tense up and lessen the volume of his sobbing.
"Koala?"
Kai jumps and looks up, wiping his eyes. Jay is stood in his doorway, looking at him in concern. Jay shuts the door before sitting next to him and grabbing his hands.
"What's wrong?"
"N-Nothing."
"You're crying."
Kai's head darts away, his eyes staring at the bed. Jay shuffles closer, squeezing his hand. Kai sniffles as he starts crying again. Jay pulls Kai onto his lap and rests Kai's head on his chest, rocking Kai when his cries get louder.
"Shh hon."
Kai's body shakes and shivers as tears stream down his face. Jay holds him and pecks his forehead. Kai grabs Jay's shirt with shaking fingers as he sobs.
"Shh shh Ruby."
Kai's sobs become hysterical. Jay rubs his back and murmurs comforting words to him. Kai lifts Jay's hoodie up, slips under it and hides. Jay smiles and rocks him.
"Shh shh Firework, breathe."
Kai sobs hysterically into his chest, for hours on end. He sobs himself to sleep, still hiding in Jay's hoodie.
"Oh sweetheart...it's okay. I'm always gonna be here. I promise."
