Kai loops his fingers through Cole's and squeezes tightly. Cole smiles and squeezes back. Kai smiles back. Cole gently tugs him into the theatre. Walking up the stairs, Cole drags Kai into the farthest corner at the back. Kai slips into the seat next to the wall and Cole sits next to him.
"Hey Blue, I'm just like you."
Kai and Cole smile at each other. Kai rests his head on Cole's shoulder, munching on his popcorn. Cole fake yawns and drapes his arm over Kai's shoulders. Kai blinks up at him.
"What?"
"Cliche."
Cole smiles and pecks his forehead. Kai blushes softly.
The movie progresses, slowly becoming sadder and sadder, almost becoming too real for the couple. Sad music begins to play and that's enough to drive Kai to tears.
"Shh Koala."
Kai looks around slightly before reaching for Cole. Cole picks him up and places him on his lap, rocking him gently. Kai whimpers.
"I know. It's so real isn't it?"
Cole feels a shaky motion against his chest. He rubs Kai's back and hums quietly. Kai whimpers and continues to cry. Cole rocks him more.
"It's okay baby. I know it's hard. I know."
Kai grips Cole's shirt with shaking fingers. Cole's hand trails up Kai's back and into his hair, combing through it. Kai whimpers and hums, leaning into Cole's hand more. Cole smiles and kisses his hair. Raising his free hand, he brings it to Kai's cheek and strokes it gently. Kai smiles sadly and places a hand over Cole's.
"T-Thank you."
Cole smiles and kisses him. Kai squeaks and kisses back.
Done before I go and eat. Yay!
