Nami's POV:

October:

"Come on Yifan, we have to go to school, don't want to be late." I said as I rushed out while my younger sister followed and sighed as I turned and locked the door behind us. "I hate taking the bus, can't you just man up and drive already." She sighed as she turned to look at me. Suddenly a horn honked in front of the house. "Actually.." I said as we turned to see Sicheng stand up on the outside of his car. "You guys ready?" He said before smiling.

"Oh hell yeah." Yifan said excitedly before we both rushed over and got in the car, Yifan in the back and me up front next to Sicheng. "Hey, little Nami." Sicheng said as he turned and looked at her, never having met my sister before. "Actually name's Yifan." She said sassily. I grabbed my water as she put her seatbelt on and spoke to Sicheng again as I took a sip. "So, how do you know my sister again?" Yifan asked. "Actually, I guess I'm her boyfriend." Sicheng said as I almost choked on my water.

Everyone stared at Sicheng and I as we walked in the cafeteria together as it was now lunch period. His hand was in my pocket and everyone couldn't take their eyes off and wonder what the hell we were doing together. I was use to being invisible but now people were looking at me and talking about me. Sicheng suddenly took his hand out of my pocket and spun me around before handing me a love letter as he kept looking at his ex girlfriend who was staring at us from her table, furious. "Good job." He said as he got close to my ear.

He walked off and so did I, kind of satisfied with myself but also wondering how did I get myself into this situation, why did I go along with this. But at the same time I did like pissing his ex girlfriend off. I smiled to myself and walked off but was quickly pulled into an empty classroom and saw it was my best friend Yuqi. "This Sicheng thing is insane, who knew you had a secret thing for the king of the school." She said. "Yeah, I'm just as shocked as you are." I said.

"Did Amber freak out when you told her?" She asked. "I actually haven't gotten around to calling her yet." I said. How was I even suppose to explain this situation to her like oh yeah, I have a fake boyfriend and it happens to be the most popular boy in school, Dong Sicheng and that it's all just to make his ex jealous. How did it all start? Oh it wasn't like I was trying to convince your ex boyfriend that I wasn't in love with him or somethin.

The call:

"Hi" I said as she said the same. "So what's up?" She asked. "Oh, nothing much, just getting ready to bake cupcakes for Yifan's bakesale at school." I said. "Oh, did you happen to talk to Ten any lately?" She asked. "What?? Why would I be seeing Ten?" I said awkwardly. "I don't know, because he's our neighbor? Is everything okay with you?" She said. "You know, I'm actually just so excited to get to these cupcakes so I got to go." I said, rushing things. "Wait, Nami.." Amber said. "Byeee.." I said as I quickly turned off the call.

I stood in the kitchen with flour all over myself as I attempted to make the cupcakes for the bakesale. A sudden knock at the door surprised me. I wiped my hands off on my apron and answered the door to see Sicheng standing on my porch. "Hey?" I said. "Hey, what's all this for?" He said as he gestured to the flour. "Oh, nothing, I'm just making cupcakes for Yifan's bakesale." I said. "Oh, well can I come in?" He said. "Sure." I answered before walking back to the kitchen as he followed. "You know it's easier to do brownies or something like that right?" He said.

I cracked the eggs for the cake mix as I spoke again. "Dong Sicheng what are you doing here?" I said. "Did you not read my note? I'm taking you to Minghao's party." He said. "I'm not going to that." I said. "Um, yes you are, Elkie's going to be there and plus parties are a part of the contract." He said. "Sorry Sicheng, I can't." I said before my dad walked in. "Can't what? Is that Dong Sicheng?" He said excitedly. Sicheng laughed lightly and nodded.

"Little Sicheng, you're as tall as me now." He said as he reached out to shake his hand. "Nice to see you again Mr. Liu." Sicheng said. "Please, call me Don." My dad said. "Actually, I was here to pick up Nami to take her to a friend's party." Sicheng said. "The parents will be there and I will have her home early, is it okay if we go?" He said. "Yes." My dad said without hesitation. "No!" I said and they both looked at me. "I can't go, I have to finish these cupcakes." I said. "I think Yifan and I can handle some cupcakes." My dad said.

"Go have fun with your friend Sicheng, go get changed, you look crazy." He joked around as he pushed me out of the kitchen. "Dad no..please." I said. I gave up and went to change to go to this party I had absolutely no interest in.
