Nami's POV:

I sat with Sicheng at the little diner I always go to as we ate and talked. "You did amazing back there, Elkie was so pissed." He said as he laughed slightly. "Well, I hope she doesn't kill me on monday then." I said. "I love how you're not scared of her." He said. "Oh, no I'm terrified of her." I admitted. "But you don't let her walk all over you.. like that time she was being a bitch to you about your shoes." He said. "Oh..you remember that?" I said.

"Yeah..even though Elkie and I were dating, I didn't like how she treated you like that and besides that, your outfit was beyond cool, it was hot.. your style is way better than her's." He said. I blushed slightly as he spoke. Did he just say I was hot? Well..he said my outfit was hot so I guess that isn't the same thing. "Thank you." I said shyly before the waitress walked up. "Do you all need anything else?" She asked. "No, I think we're good." I said, smiling. I stood up and put my jacket on as Sicheng paid and left a tip before speaking again.

"She just pisses me off so much sometimes, she barely talked to me at the party and now I have a thousand texts from her." He said. "Oh, so we're still talking about her." I said. "I don't know, maybe I'll just call her or something when I get home." He said. "Oh, so you guys still talk on the phone?" I asked. "Well not as much as we use to..but sometimes." He said as he looked up at me. I looked at him kind of judgingly and I guess he could see right through it. "What? I know that look, what is it?" He said.

"Well, I just think it's kind of weird that you talk to your ex girlfriend on the phone, you're kind of obsessed with her." I said, giving him a smirk. "No, I'm not obsessed with her." He said. "Alright then prove it, don't call her tonight." I said. He suddenly changed the subject and got serious. "Alright, come on, onto you, why have you never had a boyfriend?" He asked as I sat down again. "Well...no one's ever liked me like that." I said. "Lies, I've seen a few guys ask you out before and you always say no." He said. "Oh, so you're spying on me now?" I said, laughing slightly. "No, I just happen to be around. But I know that's not why so tell me the real reason, remember, no secrets." He said.

"Fine..well I love reading about love and writing about it but when you put it in real life it's kind of.." I started to say but he already read my mind. "Scary?" He said and I nodded. "Why is that scary though?" He said. "Cause the more people you let into your life..the more people that can just walk out of it." I said sadly. "Like your mom did.." he said. I nodded and felt as if I could cry. "Well..did you know that my dad left us?" He said, attempting to relate. "Yeah, I heard about that." I said. "Yeah, he's got a new wife and kid now..not as if that is nearly the same as your loss though, I didn't mean.." he said before I cut him off.

"No no, it's fine, I get what you mean. I'm sorry about your dad though." I said. "Well you say you're scared of commitment and relationships but you don't seem to be scared around me." He said. "There's no reason to be." I said. "Why is that?" He asked, starely deeply into my eyes. "Cause we're just pretending." I said. "Welp, you can count on Nami to be honest." He said before standing up and grabbing his jacket, seeming kind of sad. "Wait, are we cool?" I said, confused. "Yeah..thanks for coming to the party with me." He said before walking off.

I got home and quickly went up to my room, shutting the door. I looked at my phone to see that Sicheng had posted a pic of him kissing my cheek and it said 'Me and Bae'. I laughed slightly before commenting to make it seem more real. 'Bae? You are such a dork.' I said. I waited there for a moment until I heard my phone ding again and looked to see that he had commented the kissy face emoji which made me smile.

Fake dating Sicheng was getting easied and easier. I sat with him everyday at lunch and even started to become friends with some of his friends. I sort of missed some of my old friends but at the same time, it was fun to be part of a group.

But there were still some moments where I wanted to disappear, specifically when I saw Ten.

I heard a ring at the door and answered it to see Ten at the doorway, making things super awkward. "Hey, can we talk now?" He said.

"I can't believe you're dating Sicheng." He said as we talked while sitting outside. "Why? Is it so hard to believe that someone could like me?" I said. "No, it's just that you're so sweet and innocent and he's just a dick." He said. "Don't talk about him like that..plus I'm not that innocent." I said. "Yeah okay." He said in a smart tone. "Okay? Well if that's the reason you came to talk to me then just forget it." I said as I started to walk by to the house. "Wait..I.. did you mean what you wrote in the letter?" He said. "I don't know..it was all a long time ago." I said.

"Well not to me, this is all new and I am just trying to understand here." He said. "Look, there's nothing to understand, you shouldn't have seen it." I said. "Well I did see it so what am I suppose to do now?" He said. "Not tell Amber?" I said. "Amber's not even talking to me so you don't have to worry about that." He said. "I'm sorry.." I said before trying to walk inside once again. "So this is how it is now? Amber dumps me, you're dating Sicheng and now we can't even be friends anymore?" He said before I walked back to him.

"I don't know how to be friends with you like this okay. Things can't go back to how they were." I said. "I don't want to lose you too." He said. I felt a tear fall from my eye. "I just need some time okay, I can't talk right now." I said before finally going inside, leaving him to himself.
