Chapter 23

Yesterday was not my best day. I've stayed away from everyone today. Currently I'm in the back of the room while members bring in boxes. Our Christmas break got pushed back till the 21st.

So since we will be together a bit longer the club is decorating the room. I'm just sticking to the back corner. I don't wanna get in the way of their fun. I've already ruined everything else.

I can't believe I forced Santana to share that before she was ready. I can never apologize enough to her. It wasn't worth anything to make her do that. I really am a bad person.

I'm taken out of my thoughts by music playing. I look up to see everyone pulling out Christmas decorations. They are all smiling and happy. I'm just gonna stay back here and watch.

Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun

They pull out some tensile and throw it around the room. It catches on hooks and some Cheerios fix it.

In the frosty air

Brittany pulls out some fake snow bags and she hands one to Quinn. They start running around and throwing it everywhere. They all seem so happy.

What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh

Rachel looks at me and I look away. I can't look into those eyes right now. Too much guilt eats at me.

Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet

I look back and see tinsel all around the room. It looks like a winter wonderland. I start to smile but it goes away as I look away. Santana was looking at me with Rachel.

"Looking wonderful everybody!" I look at the door to see Shelby with Fran carrying a tree box "Let's get a song about trees now! Also someone help us put this together"

They all move around but I stay in my spot. I have no joy right now. I hurt Rachel yesterday and Santana. It wasn't right to do either.

I just had to get into my stupid head! Why couldn't I just think for once? Why did I let my anxiety get a hold of me?! Why?!

Everyone dances around while bringing ornaments over. They have gotten the tree out and are trying to get it together.
