Chapter 44

-Lucy pov-
"You all got my girlfriend mad at me!" I cringe as my grandma walks toward my girlfriends and I "You best fix this! I have waited too long for her! What are you going to do?"

"We will stop the slushy attacks and sing our hearts out" Mamaw nods and walks away "Why do you look worried Santana?"

"The football team has been stewing on Puck and Finn being kicked out" Santana turns her phone toward me "They are going to slushy blast Rachel"

"We have to stop this!" Brittany starts to pull out her phone but I stop her "Lucy!"

I shake my head and sigh "Texting will not stop this" I look them in the eyes the best I can "We have to stop it ourselves"

-Time skip-Rachel pov-
Today feels very odd in all honesty. Walking up to the school with mom, Beth, and sugar has been weird. We have been stared at the whole way up. I have an odd feeling something is up.

I was able to get mom to agree to talk to the trio. I really hope they are not behind anything. They could blow their chances with her. They may not ever get another.

We finally reach the doors and I feel regret hit me. I slowly start to open the doors but get pushed back. It all happens in slow motion. The sound of a thousand slushies goes and three people take our place.

"HOLY SHIT!" Santana starts wiping at her eyes "WHY DOES IT STING SO MUCH?!"

"Run!" I watch as the footballers start to run but the glee club along with the Cheerios is there "SHIT!"

"I believe there was a question" Sue does not look happy "Answer!"

"Pure alcohol!" That could have hit Beth "She was supposed to be alone!"

"Well then" There is beiste too "I guess we will forfeit our games for the foreseeable future! Get to clean the mess!"

The footballers nod as we help the trio out the doors. They just took a slushy cannon for me. But how did they know about it? Did they have second thoughts about a set up?

"How did you know?" Shelby tries her best to clean their eyes "We need a hospital"

"We got a text" Santana has tear streaks down her cheeks "I can not fucking see! Why is everything white?! Where are we?!"

"Calm down Santana" I take Beth and Shelby holds Santana "I got you"

"Load them up!" How did Sue get here so quick with a gator? "BERRY!"

"Right!" I jump into action and help them move the trio onto it "Follow to the hospital"

We nod and take off for our cars. This could be very bad. Santana we know opened her eyes. This could be very badly for her.

"Alcohol is not good for the eyes" Shelby starts the car and backs out "They could go blind"

Well this just got ten times worse. All I can do is hope that they will be ok.

-Time skip-Shelby pov-
It took a bit of time before we could see Brittany and Santana. They have some temporary eye damage that will not be too bad. Lucy on the other hand is a different story. She had on contacts when she got hit.

They had to go through a huge process to get them off. We still have not gotten a update on her yet. Brittany and Santana are sitting as far away as they can. I catch their glances every now and then.

"Alright" I sigh and stand up "Let us talk"

"We had nothing to do with it" Santana sighs "We told you we got an alert"

"Not what I was talking about" I walk over to them "I am talking about the song I have seen sticking out of you pocket, I am talking about the fact you three saved us from slushies, and I am taking about the fact that you three still have not apologized!"

"We are sorry ok?!" Santana is quickly up "We fucked up but you can not get all high and might! You walked out on us! You left us and Rachel! You left with no explanation! It was not for nationals either! You left because you failed! You left because you could not handle being around thinking you failed!"

"Santana!" Rachel is soon over to us "That is not true"

"Yes it is" I sigh and look down in shame "I left because I failed to get you all to nationals through regionals, I failed at being a mother, and I failed at being a teacher...I am so sorry"

"It is forgiven Shelby" we all turn to see Lucy in sunglasses...looking the wrong way "All of you ok? I can see some confused faces"

I look around and see no confusion "You can not see us can you?" I see Lucy tense "What happened?"

"She will be blind for a little bit" Judy puts a hand on Lucy's shoulder "We have a cane coming soon"

"Lets go ho~"

"We have to sing still!" Lucy steps forward and bumps into a chair "Help please?"

Santana and Brittany walk over and help her over to me. They whisper something and she nods. They tilt her head towards me and now she is 'looking' at me. Santana hums and they all smile.

"That was great" I grab their hands together "I am truly sorry for leaving you like I did"

"We are sorry for slushing Rachel" Lucy smiles wider "Are we ok?"

"I think we all can not stay away from each other no matter what" They chuckle and I smile "I love you girls"

"We love you" I get pulled into a hug and hear a sniffle "I am not crying"

"Sure Santana" I grab Lucy's hand and lead her toward the exit "Let's get home so we can move back into the house"

I hear a confused sound from Brittany "Wait back in?" I nod "Where have you all been?"

"The garage you all never go to" Rachel chuckles "It is quite roomy"

There's some arguing and I just chuckle. This feels right. I hope everything can stay this way though. I know things will get rocky but I will not run next time.

I will never run away again. I can not keep running from my problems. I have to stay and face them. I have to show I can be good for everyone.

I am going to make sure everything is going to be alright.
