y/n's pov
As I came out of the homestead I saw newt talking to another Glader they seemed to be laughing or at least the boy was laughing at him it made me smile seeing him happy I wasn't sure why but I was content watching him laugh with others.
as I began to walk over Newt turned towards me he looked me up and down examining my body he then turned to the boy and walked off into they woods. I was hurt did I do something wrong I didn't mean to make him angry.
the other boy jogged over to me 'Hola greenie my name Theo' Theo had a very prominent Spanish accent it suited him he was quite muscly with dark brown hair and hazel eyes he seemed tanned and so I guessing he worked in the gardens.
'hey I'm.'
'y/n I know' stated Theo he had a large grin on his face like he knew I was confused on how he know my name.
'how do you know...'
'Well Newt was just explaining to me that he was gonna tell you about the bonfire tonight and then he walked in and..' he was now even more happy with how awkward he made me.
'ok ok I understand yep he told you' I said trying to fight off the burning feeling spreading through my body.
'so umm about the bonfire what is that?' i questioned the now snickering Theo.
'oh yeah you didn't actually get to the point where he was gonna tell you' he giggled i hit him lightly nudging him to carry on 'well we have one for every niño and niña that come into the glade and well we drink and fight and gather kind of like a party to celebrate another person being stuck in this agujero del infierno.'
' well that seems nice' I giggled 'I think me and you are gonna get along just fine i need a few friends' i laughed winking at him he giggled
'yeah i think we will get along just fine y/n'
as i looked behind Theo i could see to eyes glaring through the trees at us they seemed to pierce my skin.
'hey Theo do you know who that is?' i pointed at the eyes staring through the tree ' there kinda creeping me out'
'no I'm not sure hermano' he said his jaw clenched as he looked at the eyes staring at us
'ok I'm going to go check who it is and ask why they are staring like a creep' i laughed awkwardly i began to walk towards the person
'ok y/n' he grabbed my arm and spun me to face him ' be careful not everyone is nice here' he said with a smile I could see he was worried
'don't worry besides if you here a scream then you know I'm in trouble ok?'I said as I started to walk again
'ok bye y/n' he waved at me
'bye Theo' I waved back
