chapter 9

Y/n's POV

Newt and I walked across to where all the boys were I could see that there was a roaring fire in the middle and there were benches around it. As Newt and I sat down someone tapped my shoulder. I flinted thinking someone was gonna grab me I turned to see Gally.

'sorry I didn't mean to scare you' he said with an awkward laugh he then held out a jar full of some sort of liquid 'drink?' he asked. I took the jar from him 'why not' I said as I put the jar to my lips as I drank I felt and tingling sensation go down my throat I liked it a lot I drank more of the yellow glowing liquid and sighed.

'wow Y/n slow down we don't want you drunk' Newt said while taking the jar and taking a swig effortlessly 'no one ever drinks that stuff on their first night' Gally said while giving you a smile he seemed impressed on how you took the burning liquid.

Theo ran over to Gally and patted him on the back 'hey gall they want you not to sure if they punched your liquid' he said with a grin plastered on his face 'oh shuck' Gally then ran off and yelled something which was muffled from the sound of the fire burning.

'so hermano would you like a game' he said sitting beside me 'of what Theo' I asked rolling my eyes.

'its a drinking game see how many drinks you can have without either passing out or throwing up most greenies don't so you don't have to hermano' he stated Newt looked at me with clenched teeth shaking his head I looked back to Theo 'Newt please let her it will be fun isn't that what we all need' he pleaded to Newt finally Newt gave in 'fine but if anything happens to her including her getting to drunk to even think straight then she is going to bed ok?' his face was soft with a grin but his words felt serious 'sí I understand no getting the princess to drunk got it' he said while pulling me over to the picnic table.

There was a few other people joining in with other watching Minho decided he would join so did Gally, Theo and Ben. Newt was behind me making sure I didn't do anything stupid.

'right' Gally yelled 'cheers let the games begin' we all lifted up our jars and clinked them I downed mine quickly so did Minho and Theo the others drank slowly.

we had another and then another.by this point I was feeling rather tipsy. Minho was already out as he threw up all over Theo's shoes making Theo throw up aswell. Ben also was out he gave up when he saw I wasn't the slightest bit drunk yet it was just me and Gally.

I took another jar lifting it up to my face I was still going incredibly strong as I could see Gally on the verge of passing out. as I lifted it I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist from behind 'You know love you don't have to drink anymore I think you proved yourself' Newt said pointing to Gally as he fell to the ground. Everyone cheered 'Y/n Y/n' I felt people coming up to me and patting my back no one ever seemed to beat Gally at his own game.

I turned around not noticing Newt was still holding onto me making me and Newt fall to the floor in a great heap. we chuckled as we heard people chanting but It was dying down as I stared into Newt eyes and he did the same. I felt a feeling in my stomach and butterfly's in my chest as he leaned closer wait, clunk that wasn't a new feeling I was gonna throw up on Newts face if I didn't get up sooner or later. I clumsily picked myself off of Newt just about seeing the hurt in his eyes as he was about to kiss me. I stumbled away hearing Newt shout my name.

I ran into the bathroom and threw up what I felt was my entire insides of my body. I heard someone creak the door open. I knew it was Newt.

'Newt go away I don't want you to see me like this' I yelled as I put my hand back to shoo him from the bathroom but instead he grabbed my hand and tugged my hair out of my face ' I will do no such thing love' his British accent making me shiver in awe as he pulled me into his hold knowing I was done being sick. the last thing I remember was him kissing me on the cheek and then I felt into a peaceful slumber thinking of Newt.
