Chapter 8

y/n's POV

as I walked back to the glade hand I hand with newt I felt content. I really did like Newt and I hadn't even known him for a day yet.

I heard someone wolf whistle from near the homestead I turned around to see Theo and Minho both cheering and clapping my face went red. Newt noticed spinning me around and pulling me into his chest.

'come on lets go get dinner love' newt whispered in my ear.

we walked over to the where the cook was 'hey I bet your hungry you've had a long day' the cook chuckled. 'my names frypan' I could tell that I was going to get along with frypan he talked to me like I was just another person and not like I was the only girl in the glade.

'im Y/n but you probably already know that seeming as everyone seems to know my business' I let out a half hearted laugh I took the food frypan had be serving up. As Newt then took his from frypan.

we walked over to one of the picnic benches and sat down Newt sat right next to me. A few others joined us there was Minho, Theo, Gally and a younger boy named Chuck. Chuck seemed so innocent he looked around 12 and I felt bad and angry for the fact he had lost his childhood for whatever reason we were in here for.

Minho was sitting in front of me with Theo. Theo and Minho kept whispering and laughing to each other. 'what are you talking about' I asked interested in what they were thinking was so funny.

'nothing hermono' Theo replied giving Minho a wink and then spoke again 'so how's you day been so far' he asked while giving Newt a little smirk knowing full well on what events had taken place only a few hours ago.

'alright I mean waking up in a dark box then finding out that I was stuck in a maze with only boys was quite a shock but you know life happens' I chuckled to myself as the others sent me a sincere smile

'yeah we are sorry about the others boys their a bunch of slintheads' stated Minho. 'boys will be boys' I smiled towards him. We all finished our dinner still talking about stupid things. all the boys started getting up 'come on hermono we have a bonfire to get two' Theo held out his hand which I took almost instantly as I trusted Theo. Newt shot him a glare and then walked next to me grabbing my other hand and pulling me away from Theo. Theo shot a concerned look at Newt and then relaxed when he saw how much Newt would look at you. he nodded a understanding nod and then walked back over to Minho, Gally and chuck leaving me and Newt all alone.

any ideas?

Also I never see fan fics where gally is actually friends with everyone so I may make gally quite a big character In this book.
