I must have fallen asleep on the couch because I was woken up by my leg being gently shaken.
I make eye contact with Klaus' icy blue eyes.
"Someone was quite tired" Klaus comments.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep," I say as I sit up.
"No worries, Love. I saw the bullet on the floor. I think getting shot warrants a nap. If you don't mind I'd like for you to come with me to visit our friend Tyler Lockwood" Klaus says.
I smoothed back my hair with my hands and stood.
"Yeah. I'm ready to go" I replied awkwardly.
"By the way Natalia, if you keep stealing my clothes I won't have anything left for myself" Klaus comments with a smirk and walks away from me before I could answer.
I looked down at my clothes, I was wearing one of his thin navy blue long sleeves that had about four buttons at the bottom of the "v" shaped neck and a pair of my own jeans with the pant legs rolled a little.
"They look better on me anyways" I teased as I followed him out of the house.
When we entered the Lockwood mansion, we found Tyler and his old fling in the living room, flirting and drinking. They both stopped awkwardly as Klaus walked in holding my hand, and with his free one, he held a bottle of expensive alcohol.
"Well don't let us interrupt," Klaus says to them.
"I didn't know you were here" Tyler says pointedly to Klaus.
"Clearly. I thought I would pop in and celebrate Dean's successful retrieval of the vampire hunter. Yet, when I arrived I learned that not only was Dean unsuccessful but that Elena had killed the vampire hunter" Klaus explained, starting to slur his words.
"Well, maybe if you had let Dean use lethal force on Connor, instead of leading him into a suicide mission..." I don't like this girl that Tyler has crawling around the house, something is off about her.
"Maybe you should mind your business wolf girl" Klaus says in a low voice.
"What do you care if Connor's dead, anyway?" Tyler asks.
"I have my reasons. They've ceased to matter. Cheers" Klaus says, before taking another gulp of the alcohol.
"Klaus I think you've had enough" I say to him gently.
"I don't think you'll ever be in a position where you can tell someone else they've had enough to drink" Klaus spits back at me.
This shuts me up. I don't want to argue about my history of alcoholism in front of others.
There was a knock at the door, and Tyler turned to go answer it.
As soon as he opened it, Caroline pushed her way inside.
"I brought your stuff. Old laptop, your jersey, charm bracelet" Caroline says to him.
I flicked my eyebrows up in interest. I didn't know Tyler and Caroline were even a thing, let alone having problems to the point of breaking up.
"Care...This isn't a good time..." Tyler starts.
"Just take it," Caroline says to him.
I could see Klaus staring at her, I looked up at him and hoped he would look back at me, instead of continuing to stare at her.
I let out a breath subtly when Klaus looked down at me and gave a half smile.
"Alright. Let's leave them alone. Your talents are needed elsewhere" Klaus says, not just to me but to the hybrids that were in the room as well.
