I tied my hair up into a messy bun on top of my head, I was tired of letting my hair fall onto my shoulders, it was starting to get really annoying.
"Why don't you just let your sister braid your hair?" Klaus asks, appearing behind me in the broken mirror.
"She pulls it too much" I replied, turning around. He walks towards me.
"I just wanted to tell you that you've done well. We will be moving forward with the plan and should be ready in time for the ritual. Thank you, Natalia" he says with a smile.
"Of course Klaus" I replied.
"Hey Klaus!" Margaret calls coming into the room with a half full blood bag in hand.
He groans and looks at her.
"Yes Mary?" He asks, using a nickname he gave her.
"Do you think humans think our fangs work like straws?" She asks.
I cover my mouth and chuckle a little bit.
Klaus touches a hand to his forehead.
"You'll be late for school. Please go" he says, putting his fingers against the bridge of his nose and letting out a sigh before walking out.
Margaret looks at me, and gives me a smile.
"Was it something I said?" She asks with a laugh.
We walk into the school and pass Stefan and Elena at their lockers, Margaret gives them a wink as we continue walking.
In class everyone talks around us as I pick at my cuticles.
Margaret looks at me. "It's been over five centuries and you still can't break that annoying habit," she says.
I roll my eyes at her and sit up. Mr. Saltzman walks into the classroom. His eyes fall on us and he smiles slightly, only enough for one of us to truly notice.
I glance at Margaret with a knowing look. That's not Mr. Saltzman.
"So what are we studying today?" He says looking through some books on the table.
"Because of the dance we'd be studying the sixties" a girl in the front says.
"Right. The sixties. It was a pretty bleak period, but you had the Beatles so they made it a little better" he says.
Margaret and I smile. They'll never see us coming now.
Alaric-Klaus leads us to his apartment.
Margaret and I get stuck in the doorway.
"Ah yes. Girls. Please come in" he says.
We walk inside and see someone sitting in a chair.
She looks at us and scoffs.
"Hello Margaret. Hello Natalia" she says.
Only one person looks at us with that much disgust.
"Katerina. Nice to see you again. How long has it been?" Margaret asks sarcastically.
"Only four hundred years. After Margaret tried to kill me"
"After you tried to kill my sister"
"Girls. Girls. Please don't fight. I don't have time for your drama" Alaric-Klaus says, rolling his eyes.
I grab Margaret's shoulder and pull her back a little.
"Katerina is here because she has valuable information. Please get along with her, and don't kill her Mary" he says.
"No promises"
