Wrath my curious Patience

I took a very long shower and not because the paint was difficult to scrub off. I simply didn't want to get interrogated by Patience. I finally exited when the water stopped being hot. I dried myself and went through the clothes on my bed. I wore another pair of jeans and a gray t-shirt. I ran my fingers through my damp hair, inhaled sharply and headed downstairs looking for Patience. I find her in the lounge area sitting on the couch with that damn book. I groaned internally and could hear my siblings ribbing me in my mind. I put up my mind barrier and entered the room. Patience was flipping pages and chewing on her lips. When the wooden floor creaked her eyes flew up to me. She closed the book and asked me to sit down. I furrowed my brow and sat across from her, noticing that she was shaking a little bit. I frowned, I didn't want her to be frightened of me.

"Okay Wrath," she paused and inhaled deeply. "Either your tattoo artist pulled a cruel trick on you or you are one of the real deadly sins," she mumbled confused. Her blue eyes looked up at mine and she pursed her lips. I opened my mouth and shook my head, closing it. I ran my hand down my face and sighed.

"I am a deadly sin and am being punished for not wanting to do what I am created for," I muttered sourly. Patience raised her brow and eyed me strangely.

"You want to change who you are," she scoffed. I leaned back and glared at her.

"Is that so hard to believe Patience, yeah, I'm tired of the shit I stir, unfortunately if I don't cause something I will perish. Your book there doesn't explain that us sins feed off the sins of those committing them and that is how we survive," I growled angrily. She was pressed back into the cushions frightened by my outburst.

"You coming here can't be a mistake, I feel like I'm supposed to help you," she mumbled softly. I eyed her like she was insane. What could a human female possibly think to accomplish with a deadly sin, we were more powerful than any demon except the ones that created us and only a step lower than the devil himself. I crossed my legs and laughed at the absurdity of her claim. She cocked her brow and frowned at me.

"I'm not sure what you find so humorous Wrath," she spat, finally showing a different tone than her normal sunshiny disposition. I chewed on my lip and eyed her suspiciously.

"Don't be giving me that look either mister sin, all this bullshit is freaking me the fuck out," she yelled out, got up and stormed into her kitchen. I started chuckling, finding her outburst adorable. I quickly followed after her and entered the kitchen to see her pouring herself a shot of patron. I cocked my brow as she downed two shots and sat at the table with a flustered look on her face. She drank two more and rubbed her eyes.

"The first guy I find attractive since my husband died and he turns out to not even be a man," she mumbled putting up air quotes when saying, a man. I furrowed my brow and pulled out a chair, sitting down next to her. I grabbed the bottle of tequila, poured her another shot and drank the rest of the bottle.

"I am a man, Patience, maybe not in the human sense but a male nonetheless," I muttered angrily. She drank the shot and got up to grab an unopened bottle.

"So what, you're a male, it's not like I can, oh fucking forget it," she sighed opening the new bottle of patron. I laughed at her and she scowled at me.

"I didn't know you enjoyed drinking Patience," I smiled. She slammed her fist on the table and glared at me.

"Don't fucking smile at me Wrath," she mumbled softly and moisture was collecting in her eyes. I eyed her strangely, not understanding her outburst. She poured herself several more shots and downed them quickly. She was going to be wasted. I sat back and just watched her get herself plastered. She'd mumble nonsense and I bit my lip from laughing at her dilemma. When she finally laid her head down on the table I smiled. I could hear her deep breathing and little snores, she had passed out. I put the cap back on the almost empty bottle of tequila and lifted her prone body into my arms. She weighed practically nothing. I grinned at her scowling face and walked up the stairs and to her bedroom. I used my foot to push the door open and laid her on her bed. I bent over her and pressed my lips to her creased forehead and whispered goodnight. I closed her door softly and went back to the kitchen. I washed the few dirty dishes and walked into the unfinished painted room. I looked around and snapped my fingers. The walls looked great. I grinned and headed upstairs to my room. Stripping I got under the covers and crashed with thoughts of the strange woman on my mind.

The next morning I opened my eyes and frowned wondering how Patience was going to act around me. I rolled my eyes and dressed quickly. I didn't smell any food cooking and shuffled down the stairs with bare feet. I entered the kitchen and saw it was empty. I furrowed my brow and headed back upstairs and knocked at her bedroom door. I heard her cursing explicits and opened it. Patience was lying in bed holding her head in her hands. I grinned slightly.

"You're hung over huh," I mumbled softly and her red glassy eyes looked up at me in anger.

"Yeah and it's all your fault," she snapped angrily. I raised my brow and eyed her strangely.

"I don't recall pouring tequila into your mouth woman," I say cruelly back. She huffs and stumbles out of her bed. I watched in amusement as she stumbled in front of me with her finger raised.

"You're a sin, an attractive good looking fucking sin," she muttered angrily. I grabbed her arms as she almost stumbled over. Her eyes were damp and she looked up at me longingly. I questioned her with my eyes and she closed hers.

"I need to sober up, I gotta work at the diner today," she mumbled irritatedly. I helped her to sit on the edge of her bed.

"Take some aspirin and I'll fix something for you to eat," I tell her softly. It must have confused the heck out of her.

"You can cook," she snorted sarcastically. I eyed her blankly.

"I'm not an idiot Patience, by the way, woman, you're trying mine," I snapped and left her to head back to the kitchen. I heard her chuckle as I headed down the stairs. I started the coffee first and then began frying some bacon. I made toast and a few eggs. When Patience walked in I poured her a cup of fresh coffee and set the cream and sugar next to it. She sipped at it and rubbed her eyes. I set a plate of food before her. She grinned at me and started to eat.

"You really make me want to sin, very badly, Wrath," she laughed waving her fork around. I rolled my eyes and frowned at her strange behavior.

"I don't understand what you're going on about Patience," I sighed and grabbed a piece of toast off her plate. She looked up at me and frowned.

"I'm saying that I'm attracted to you, ass," she snapped angrily and I raised my brow.

"Really, I find it difficult to believe Patience, you really shouldn't be, I'm not a good person, not in the least," I state firmly. Her eyes widened and she laughed.

"You're a handsome man Wrath, sorry but those are the facts buddy, I know that you're packing the necessary equipment, I got an eyeful," she mumbled softly and patted my hand. I lowered my eyes and frowned, pulling my hand away from under hers. Lust grinned in my head and my cock started getting hard. You fucking bitch Lust, you know that nothing can happen between me and the human female, I growled angrily at my sister. I've never heard of that rule brother, maybe it's been so long you're afraid of your performance, she snapped sarcastically in my brain. I gritted my teeth and glanced at Patience. I growled and stood quickly causing the chair to crash to the floor behind me.

"Never speak of this again Patience," I snapped and headed quickly up to my room. Her eyes followed after me.
