Wrath discovering origins

Patience wheels in her mind were turning.

Does what she said have any truth to it, Pride, I asked my brother. I heard my siblings arguing, giving me reasons to believe that Patience had unlocked the mystery of our existence and a means for us to return to the humans we once were. I glanced at her and brushed her hair away from her eyes. She eyed me curiously and I grinned at her. She cleared her throat and took a drink of her vodka. I could tell she was close to succumbing to the alcohol.

"How come you don't get intoxicated," she slurred. I looked up at the dark sky and shrugged.

"I haven't a clue, but I do try my darndest," I chuckled softly and she passed out against me. I looked at her peaceful looking face and wanted to kiss her so badly. I gritted my teeth and held her head as I stood. I heard her mumble something incoherently.

"I'm going to carry you to your room Patience," I told her softly as I lifted her in my arms. I looked down and her face was resting against my chest. I smiled and headed toward the house. I used my foot to pry open the back door. I reached her bedroom and she rubbed her face against me like a cat. I exhaled deeply and kicked open her bedroom door. I laid her down and looked at her. She probably hopes you're going to ravish her in her sleep, Gluttony laughed and I rolled my eyes. I bent over to kiss her forehead and her arms wrapped around my neck and her lips were pressed against mine. My eyes widened at the soft flesh pressed against my mouth and the smell of vodka on her breath. She started kissing me and I pried her arms off of my neck and laid her back.

"No Patience, not in your condition, I'm not into that kind of debauchery," I mumbled softly and quickly left her room before I changed my mind. My heart was pounding quickly in my chest and I was breathing rapidly. I inhaled deeply, several times to calm my heart. I stripped and took an ice cold shower. My stomach ached from the icy chill. I Ignored the discomfort and let the chill seep into my bones. I grabbed a towel and dried myself as I shivered uncontrollably. Normally it wouldn't bother me and I scowled. Pride, tell me now what is happening to me, I growled angrily at my oldest sibling. I'm not sure, it seems you're regaining some of your um, human qualities, be careful Wrath, Sathanas won't be happy about it, Pride warned me and I frowned thinking about Patience. I covered myself under the thick covers and warmed up slowly. I wish getting a good buzz would happen, it's been forever it seems since I was able to numb my thoughts, I tell Pride back. He chuckled and responded, ain't that the truth. Goodnight siblings, I yawned and heard them all telling me the same. The next day is a repeat of the last. Patience wasn't up and I rolled my eyes and knocked at her door and heard her groaning in agony. I cracked the door open and asked if she was alright. She was frowning and rolling around with her arms wrapped around her midsection. I walked on and asked her what was wrong.

"I feel horrible, sharp pains, like a knife is stabbing me," she mumbled irritatedly. I scratched my head. Sisters, help me, something is wrong with Patience, I yelled out in my mind. I felt a presence and Envy's apparition stood in the doorway with her arms crossed. She looked up at me and rolled her eyes. She walked to the edge of the bed and waved her hand over Patience and sighed.

"She's starting her course brother and experiencing menstrual cramps," she snapped angrily and disappeared. I chuckled and went to Patience's bathroom to look for pain relief. I read all of the bottles, finding the perfect one. I bring her a bottle of pamprin and a glass of water.

"Patience, here take this," I told her bluntly as she turned to look at me. She sits up with one hand still on her abdomen and grabs the bottle with the other. She read the bottle and turned beet red. She avoided my eyes as she took two and drank the water.
