When you fall asleep with your head upon my shoulder.

When you’re in my arms but you’ve gone somewhere deeper.

Jason

When the sun came blazing over the horizon, I was already awake. I’d been awake for quite a while now, watching the sky turn blue then orange then blue again. However, contrary to every other time that I wasn’t able to sleep, this wasn’t because I was stressed, or worried, or scared about something. The only feeling I could focus on was how perfect I was feeling. I held Harley in my arms as she slept soundly and I couldn’t ask for anything else. I felt utterly complete.

She shifted and I stilled, not wanting her to wake up. “You know if you continue to stare at me like that, I’m not going to sleep with you anymore.” I smiled and rubbed her back.

“I’m sorry, it is kind of creepy isn’t it?”

She opened one eye, peering up at me, “You are kind of turning into a stalker. First my school and now this? What’s next? My dead body on the floor?” she laughed as I poked her stomach.

“Well I guess I’ll just not look at you anymore,” I turned my head dramatically.

She let out a tiny groan, “Stop being so dramatic.” I kept a straight face and continued to look away from her.

“Ugh,” her tiny hands moved to my face and tried to pull my head back. “Stop.” I laughed at her, she sounded like a four year old. I turned my head back to her a little, watching her face out of the corner of my eye, she was pouting.

“You are too adorable for words.” Her hand slapped my chest.

“Shut up!” we laughed until we heard a nock on the door and she climbed out of bed and opened the door to her mother.

“Good Morning love birds.” I smiled as Harley blushed bright red.

“Mom.” She muttered under her breath.

            “Good morning Mrs. Morgan.”

“Please sweetie, call me Lucy.” I nodded and smiled at her, “Well I came to tell you guys that breakfast is served.” She smiled again, kissed Harley on the cheek and turned to leave.

“Bye mom!” Harley closed the door and turned back around. She ran and jumped onto the bed, landing on my legs.

She shrugged and shook her head, “I have to take a shower, but you can either take one after me or take one in the guest bathroom.”
