About a week later and things have been amazing for Cole and I.
I know I love him but I don't know how to tell him, sometimes I wonder if he allows himself to love because he's so scared to be hurt again, I think that's why he is the way he is with everything. So protective, he's like the Batman of UofM.It's the weekend and Cole is driving to the gas station around 10:30 after leaving my dorm.
He fills up on gas and starts heading home. But during the drive he sees a woman and a man walking down the street, but the man is practically carrying this girl because she's stumbling with every step, seemingly drunk.
Cole pulls over on the side of the road and gets out.
Not a hint of hesitation in his walk.
"Hey!" Cole yells and the man turns around.
Tristan.
You're kidding me."What?" He asks.
"What're you doing with her." Cole asks and Tristan and the girl stop.
"Mam are you okay?" Cole asks as he tries to look at her face, and she looks up with her head but her eyes are closed with her mouth open."Bro what the fuck are you doing?" Tristan asks as he pushes Cole away.
"She's drunk!" Cole yells and pushes him back making Tristan fall backward.
The girl rubs her face and sits down on the sidewalk as Tristan stands up only to be met with a punch from Cole the second he's parallel.
"AYE!" Tristan yells but Cole is relentless.
He punches him again and again until Tristan falls into mulch next to some bushes."Stay down." Cole demands.
Tristan holds his face from the pain and Cole goes over to the girl while getting his phone out.
He calls the police department to send a car over and to report a crime and possible suspect in a crime. They show up and Tristan is still sitting where he was.
They end up putting Tristan and Cole in two separate cars and the girl in the same car as Cole."Hey dad." Cole says with a phone up to his ear.
"Son what's wrong?" Graham asks.
"I'm at the county jail, Olivia's ex was walking a drunk girl on the sidewalk, we got in a fight and I called the cops to report him. My cars still on fourth streets corner by the pub, and shell. I need you to get it and then pick me up." Cole explains.
Graham takes a deep breath.
"You can't become a police officer when you have charges against you. You cant even play FOOTBALL with charges. What the hell were you thinking?" Graham says."Dad she wasn't even walking he was practically dragging her. He tried to touch Olivia while she was drunk at that Halloween party and now this girl. He was going to rape them." Cole says.
"You said Tristan ended up being drunk that night, and he could've been just helping a girl home this time. Not everyone is in the same situation as us son." Graham says.
"But some are!" He's connected to something I'm telling you!" Cole yells.
"No, I'm sure he's not even old enough to be! He may be for this specific case but he has nothing to do with your mother and sister and you need to stop assuming everyone does, it's exhausting." He says.
